Hermitage’s Most Trusted Senior Living Community.
There’s just something about Charter Senior Living of Hermitage. It’s hard to describe, but our residents and their families tell us there’s just something about our community that feels different – and better. Some say it’s the people – they see a staff and residents who genuinely care for one another. Some say it’s the community itself – comfortable, familiar, warm, friendly – something only an established community can offer. Most say it’s all those things – that’s why, since 1996, we’ve been the area’s most trusted place for senior living.

Charter Senior Living of Hermitage has been such a blessing for our family. From the very beginning, we could see how much the staff truly cares for their residents and the families they serve. Each member of the team brings something special: Kelly (Sr. Business Office Manager) is thorough, responsive, and always willing to help answer any questions. Sonia (Health and Wellness Director) is incredibly patient and caring. She takes time to connect with residents in meaningful ways so they feel seen, valued, and supported during this season of life—not just for them, but for their families too. Eric (Maintenance Supervisor) is the unsung hero who keeps everything running smoothly. Whether it’s fixing something around the building or singing his heart out for the residents, he makes such a positive impact. Greta (Director of Sales and Marketing) is warm and welcoming, with a smile that lights up the room and a heart that matches. One of the things that impressed us most is how long the staff has been here. Their dedication and patience show in the way they treat each resident like family and how well they understand the different dynamics that come with this stage of life. What gives me the most peace of mind is knowing my mom is in good hands. She is encouraged daily to take her medications, do her physical, occupational, and speech therapy, and she enjoys three meals a day—all on-site and convenient. And with TriStar Summit Hospital close by, I feel even more comforted that she’s safe and cared for. Charter also provides so much for their residents: engaging activities, community outings, and the convenience of on-site therapy. They are thoughtful and creative in encouraging residents—even those who may be a little hesitant—to join in activities that truly benefit them. We visited several communities in the area, but none felt quite like Charter. We are very thankful for the kindness, care, and commitment we’ve experienced here.

When my husband, Butch, and I realized that we had reached the age and stage in our lives that we required support, our daughter began to research assisted living facilities in our area. We also began to make inquiries. Charter Senior Living of Hermitage was the one most often recommended. From our first visit, the atmosphere and reception at Charter was one of warmth and caring, not only from the staff but also from the residents. It felt from our first encounter like a family. In fact Cece, the housekeeper who takes care of our apartment, expressed it best when she told us, “This is my home away from home.” After moving into our apartment, our impression about Charter was confirmed. Zack even came and helped us hang our pictures, and saved me when my printer refused to print. Nurse Sonia and the caregivers came to check on us and see if we needed any help in getting settled. We would especially like to recognize the caring and concern shown to us by Sonia and and the caregivers Allie, Sherri, Keneisha, Deera, Savannah, and Cece in housekeeping. Kelly in the office has gone out of her way to assist us in working with our LTC. Greta is always there to answer our questions and help us in any way. Simone and Jamey are our “go to” people. They are wonderful. Faith works tirelessly to provide activities that are fun and stimulating. That’s not an easy job. She even helped when I had a computer glitch. We give a well deserved “shout out” to Andrew and the kitchen staff. They have the hardest job of all, pleasing so many with food. I would also like to say that the Therapy staff of Legacy at Charter continues to be a life saver for us. We both came to Charter with physical and mobility issues. Gina, Wanda, Angela, Camille, and Tyler are such caring people. They have worked hard to relieve our pain and prepare us not only for the surgery we are facing, but for improving our quality of life. We are now a part of the Charter Family, and happy so.

Greta was incredibly helpful and generous with her time and knowledge. I’m so glad I found this facility and had the chance to meet her. We would not be where we are today without Greta’s bundle of knowledge & empathy for my husband’s early onset Alzheimer’s. Greta TRULY went ABOVE & BEYOND for our family! Definitely stop by for a visit and ask for the wonderful Greta!

I've been in Charter Independent Living for about 6 months, and I feel like a weight has been lifted-no more taxes, home upkeep, utilities, etc. I have a two-bedroom, two-bathroom Villa ( with walk-in shower, and plenty of room. My cat and I really enjoy our screened-in porch. The staff is attentive, but what I really appreciate is the great neighbors. We all look out for each other and try to help when needed. The food is even better than I expected.Best move I ever made.
