The Kempton of Hermitage

I cannot express enough how deeply grateful I am for the exceptional care and kindness that Kempton Assisted Living has shown to my mom. During a very stressful transition from Pennsylvania to their facility in Hermitage, TN, from day one, Brook has been a beacon of professionalism, empathy, and compassion. She approaches every task with unwavering dedication, always making sure that my mom is not only receiving the best possible care but also ensuring our entire family felt supported emotionally. What truly sets the entire Kempton team apart is their incredible ability to connect with my mom on a personal level, understanding her needs and concerns, and providing reassurance to the family when things feel overwhelming. Their patience and kindness have made such a positive impact on my mom and our entire family-- it's clear that their team genuinely care about her well-being. Lastly, Brook's expertise in her field is undeniable, but it’s her warmth, attentiveness, and the respect she shows to our entire family that truly stands out. She takes the time to listen, answer questions, and explain things thoroughly, ensuring we all feel confident and well-informed. We are fortunate to have Brook and the Kempton team as our care team for my mom. And we are beyond blessed to have Kempton staff as our new family. I cannot say enough good things about Kempton of Hermitage and the exceptional care they’ve provided for my mother. From the very beginning, they’ve consistently gone above and beyond to ensure her well-being and comfort. It’s clear that the staff truly cares, and I’ve never felt more supported as a family member. Every caretaker has shown a concern for my mother’s well-being. Whether it’s the nursing staff, aides, or any other team member, they all take the time to get to know her needs and make sure she’s comfortable and cared for. Their genuine concern for her happiness and health is evident, and it truly puts my mind at ease knowing she’s in such capable hands. A huge shoutout to Brook for her endless assistance. She has been a constant source of support, always available to address any concerns and make sure everything runs smoothly. Her dedication to my mother’s care has been nothing short of amazing. Kris, who I first met in March 2024, has been a true godsend. From our first interaction, she has been incredibly helpful and understanding, always willing to go that extra mile to ensure my mother is well taken care of. Her warmth and professionalism have made such a positive impact. And lastly, Linda – every time I walk through the door, I’m greeted with such a warm, welcoming smile. It’s the little things like that which make such a big difference, and it’s one of the many reasons why I feel so comfortable leaving my mom in their care. I’m deeply grateful for the entire team at Kempton of Hermitage for their exceptional care and unwavering support. They’ve made such a positive impact on our lives, and I know my mom is in the best hands possible. We’ve had the experience of admitting my mother to five other facilities around town, and without a doubt, Kempton of Hermitage has provided the best experience by far. The genuine compassion of the staff here far surpasses any other place we’ve encountered. I’m so thankful to have found Kempton, and I truly feel my mother is in the best possible hands here.

My Mom currently lives at Kempton. She has lived there for 3 years now. Kempton provides a clean facility and safe environment. The staff is very responsive and caring toward the people who live there. My Mom has made lots of friends there including members of the staff. She enjoys the many activities. The activity director and her assistant are super, always lots of creative activities offered. During the last 2 years, the Kempton Staff has been outstanding in dealing with the Covid requirements and supporting the residences and families. The Kempton is wonderful too because it is a small facility, and the small apartments provide a lot of privacy.

My mom moved into memory care this week. Mom would have never went on her own accord. However, after a hospital admittance, they agreed long term care was immediately necessary. After touring multiple places, the Kempton at Hermitage was the place we cried tears of joy walking into. The apartment style living with private room bathroom, along with locking room doors, made it the perfect solution to help mom feel secure and in control. Without hesitation, the team went to pick up mom from the hospital and transport her to the Kempton community at our request. Mom held Brook’s hand as the hospital staff wheeled mom’s chair to the transport van, like Brook was mom’s child. Mom felt loved and safe. Brook sent pictures of mom from the moment she was safely in the van to the minute mom got emotional seeing her room for the first time with all of her own belongings. We chose to give mom a few days to transition before us family visiting while the Kempton team gets mom on the right dosage of medicine, not to be dopey like the hospital team kept her. Laura, head of nursing team and Brook both have communicated via calls and texts to keep us updated, including 1:21am when mom was still trying to stay up watching a movie, instead of sleeping. The whatever it takes mentality of the staff and the clean, loving environment has been nothing short of a God sent miracle. Trust your gut, follow your heart and listen to the Holy Spirit.
