My sister and I are so fortunate to have found Cedarhurst of Arnold for our mom to live. She came from a very bleak assisted living facility (where our oldest sister moved our mom without a doctor's assessment from 1st floor assisted living to the 2nd floor memory care to live in solitude). At Cedarhurst, she lived in assisted living with freedom based on their assessment along with mom's doctor. From day one, mom was so impressed how everyone knew her name, was excited that she could walk in the courtyard whenever she wanted, and loved being around people. It brought such joy to us seeing our mom happy again. Mom participated in many activities (Bingo, Bowling, Piano with Lew, Fashion Show, Mass, etc.) but her favorite was every Wednesday Happy Hour with live entertainment and her Whiskey Sours. She also signed up for several planned outings (Cardinal Game, Library, Blue Owl, Walmart, etc). All staff (management and trained aides) were genuinely friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to make mom's experience rewarding. Mom even called them her "Green Angles." Our family had the ability to see and stay with our mom 24/7, no questions asked. When mom needed more assistance it was reassuring to see how hospice (Dover) stepped in and provided additional services. The level of care at the end of her life (two aides to move her, assisted showers and baths, assisted toiletry, help dressing, help feeding) that our mom received was well beyond the $8,000 a month. Our mom's happiness outweighed any cost and plus it was her money to enjoy life. Our mom could not have received the social interaction, entertainment, and/or the level of care needed anywhere besides Cedarhurst. She will be forever remember by everyone as Miss Jean, Jean Bean, Dancing Jean, Sassy, and Momma Jean :) We wholeheartedly recommend Cedarhurst of Arnold!

My mother became a resident at Cedarhurst in Arnold in February of 2025. After a few days she began meeting some friends and the friendly staff. Everyday she became more involved with the daily activities. She absolutely loved her decision to move in to assisted living at Cedarhurst. The amazing and caring staff made the move very easy and very welcoming. Mom’s health started to deteriorate and we placed her in to the care of hospice at Cedarhurst, where she was able to stay in her apartment that had been her home for the last 9 months. The care that Kim and her staff gave my mother was nothing but spectacular. When the medical Techs would come to mom’s room, she would introduce them as her friends, as she could not remember their names. They were always so kind. They truly cared for my mother’s well being. Anna, came in late one evening after she was off work and polished mom’s nails with her favorite color. Was such a blessing to see. Mom passed on October 6 peacefully. Each caregiver came in to pay their respects and caused our family to shed a lot of tears. My brothers and I are so thankful we chose Cedarhurst for the care of our mother. We can’t thank you all enough. If you are considering your loved one to join the Cedarhurst family, I can assure you it’s a decision you will not regret. Kim, you have a wonderful staff. Keep doing what you are doing. It is working, I’ve seen it first hand. A warm heartfelt thank you to all. ❤️❤️,

We found Cedarhurst of Arnold for my 100 year old Mother. She moved into a beautiful room in Assisted Living. She is so happy, loves her room and feels so much love and support from the staff. She is escorted to the beautiful dining room where she enjoys company and good meals. Working with the administration has been very easy and they are very supportive and open to help in any situation. Kim, Kelly,Maggie and Oriana are the absolute best. Best decision ever. Here's Mom at Thanksgiving dinner yesterday! It was wonderful, food was delicious! Beth Grubb

My family was truly fortunate to have found Cedarhurst Senior Living for my mother, Jean Hosner. Before moving there, she had been placed in memory care at a different, substandard facility—without the recommendation of her family or her doctor. While my mother was always vibrant and full of life, that environment caused her to withdraw. She became reclusive, wanted to sleep all the time, and felt more like a prisoner than a resident. Everything changed once she moved to Cedarhurst. After settling in, her personality blossomed again. She finally felt like she had a home. Cedarhurst offers so many engaging activities for their residents, and the staff goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and encouraged to participate. My mother regained her independence and joy for life, something we hadn’t seen in a long time. As her dementia progressed, the professional staff at Cedarhurst provided exactly the care she needed—whether it was hygiene, bathing, or eventually daily assistance with nearly everything. It was such a blessing to know that in my mother’s final days, my role was simply to be her loving, caring daughter, while her physical needs were being met with kindness and professionalism. Even as her health declined, she was able to remain in her own apartment at Cedarhurst. When she couldn’t make it to the dining room, she could order room service and still feel at home. If you are searching for a professional, compassionate, and truly caring home for your loved one—where you can rest assured they are safe, loved, and well cared for—I cannot recommend Cedarhurst and their wonderful staff highly enough.
