Cascade Place

How can you even begin to describe what Cascade Place means to our family. Our Mom was a resident at Cascade for 6.5 years. Mom was treated and cared for like family by all the staff. We grew to know all the residents, especially in the memory care. They too became part of our family. We always knew Mom had the best of care, love and kindness at Cascade Place. Cassidy, Celina, Preshus, you are so much more than administrators. You are a friend to lean on in the hard times. Sisters to share the good times and love with. Cascade Place is what Assisted living and Memory Care should be, "home" for our loved ones and our family.

I cannot in good faith recommend Cascade Place for your loved ones. Story time, so Buckle up. My elderly father is on Medicaid/Medicare and is in an low-income semi-assisted living. his friend who is a retired surgeon lives near Cascade Place, and got my father on the waiting list. Fast-forward a number of months, and a Medicaid/Medicare room became vacant but needed a complete renovation due to the previous resident. During this renovation, they contacted my father's friend, the retired surgeon, to let him know of the opening and started the process of getting my father ready to move in. a few weeks later after getting all of the proper paperwork in and getting reviewed by the nursing staff to ensure that my father's needed level of care was within the parameters of the level of care that Cascade Place could provide. After not hearing back for a couple of days, my dad's friend, the retired surgeon, called and was answered by some regional manager who happen to making their rounds at this facility. He was told by this manager, "Oh I am sorry, but the room is no longer available. We've accepted a FULL Paying resident and she is already moving in." Thats right... they took a room for was for Medicaid/Medicare and rented it to a customer simply because she was a "FULL PAYING customer." I do believe that this is not only unethical, but may also violate state if not federal law. This was done AFTER there had already been a verbal agreement made with my dad's friend, who is a retired surgeon on behalf of my father. What concerns me is that if the people who are in charge of Cascade Place are willing to be unethical on going back on their word, which nearly left my father homeless as he had told the place that he is in currently that he was moving, then what else are they doing to our most vulnerable people, especially given that they "specialize in those with poor memories"?!?! Fortunately, the place that my father is in did the ethical thing and has allowed my father to remain in his room since this place ripped out from under my father, a room. I do believe that we will be contacting the Washington State Attorney General's office as well as the U.S. Attorney General's office to see about having an audit done at Cascade Place to ensure that they are meeting the requirements for Medicaid/Medicare residents vs "full paying" residents.

My grandmother and family has always been treated with a special kind of genuine hospitality. The staff are communicative creating a family atmosphere. I asked my Grandma what she likes about Cascade Place. Her response was EVERTHING. She went on to express her gratitude for eating as a family but also has access to the privacy she needs. Cascade Place consistently has events everyone in attendance completely digs! The staff goes above and beyond. Walking into the building feels welcoming. Just an overall feeling of inclusion. The first event I attended on Thanksgiving. The table was full of family chatter. I felt overwhelmed with joy. The feeling took me back to my childhood and joyful memories of holidays at Grandma and Grandpa home. HUMONGOUS GRATITUDE

My parents are thriving at Cascade Place in Enumclaw. The staff is amazing! They have so many activities for the residents, there is something for everyone. They both really enjoy the food, which is huge for assisted living and memory care. I really can’t say enough how happy my parents are, and what a relief it is to have them there. UPDATE: It’s been over a year and a half since my parents moved in. My dad recently passed, the care and compassion shown by everyone was incredible. I am so thankful I found Cascade Place. Cassidy is amazing, as well as the rest of the staff, they are more than a facility, they have become like family. My mom is thriving.
