Memory Haven

An Exceptional Community! As a home care agency owner, I recently had the pleasure of touring Memory Haven, and I was thoroughly impressed. What a truly great property! Diana is an amazing person—I learned so much from her about the community's goals and vision. It is incredibly clear how well the residents are taken care of; you can see it right on their faces. I look forward to any future opportunities to collaborate with them to support their residents, or to volunteer my time to provide some fun and enrichment. Highly recommend!

Memory haven we a beautiful facility but is starting to break down. The actual care givers do a good job but are so Woefully under staffed it’s pathetic ! 12 to 14 residents with often 1 maybe 2 staff. The nurse travels between 3 buildings so can’t be counted. So far they have lost my mother in laws hearing aids, upper and lower teeth and often I have to find her glasses. We were promised that these things would be locked up at night. She needs help eating but there aren’t enough hands to help. No teeth and they served a big pretzel for dinner one night. The problem lies with the upper management and is all about money. We went from $600 a month to $1100 in three years saying she needed extra care. We never saw any extra care.

I would give this place ZERO stars if I could. My Aunt was here and what did they serve for dinner to the RESIDENTS one night? COLD. DOMINOS. PIZZA. I wish i was making this up. It was already past 5 PM and there was no chef or backup. That’s all they got. I sat there and watched a stressed out caregiver cutting it up. AND DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE ANT INFESTATION IN MY AUNTS ROOM. SHUT. THIS. PLACE. DOWN.

Although our moms time at Memory Haven was only for a short two months, there is a need to express our deepest gratitude to the facility and to each and every staff member. Their kind, warm, and gentle care provided us reassurance that our mom was in the best place during her last days. Our mom’s condition came on suddenly and progressed quickly. Memory Haven was there for us in a dire need situation. I work in a hospital and see patient care on a daily basis, so when I saw the attention to detail, (such as finding the right water bottle, or making sure she had her blanket we made her and her stuffed animal next to her), the patience, and the love for helping those needing memory care, I knew she was in good hands. We visited everyday, and always felt welcome. During our moms last days, we stayed by our moms side, and they welcomed all of our family in to be with her, (even found games for the kids to play, again, attention to detail). To Donna, Michelle and ALL of the caregivers, our family sends our sincerest gratitude for all you do. Thank you.
