Carriage Green at Milford

Our mom moved into Carriage Green in 2023 and spent over 20 months there. She was resistant leaving her house of over 50 years but when my Dad passed it was safer for her to be in a place with others. She found a true community, great friends, and people that loved her. The staff is warm and caring. There is live music every week - often twice a week and she loved that. The place was just renovated but what she loved most was looking out into the pretty courtyard where she could enjoy the sunshine or go out to read a book or attend a party. As people age and have limitations it becomes hard, but having people around you that understand is very helpful. I learned people’s life stories and will miss both the residents and staff. I would recommend for your family member too!

My mother-in-law has been residing at Carriage Green for the past year. We are thrilled with everything about it. The staff are wonderful (front desk, dining room, aides, nurses, housekeepers, etc). The property is in the midst of a decor update and is looking great and the food is excellent with specials offered at every meal but also residents can always choose a salad, sandwich, etc. Most importantly, our family feels that our loved one is safe and in very capable hands, as does she. I am baffled by any of the bad reviews I am reading. Someone from our family is there EVERY week, sometimes multiple times a week, so we are there A LOT and we have never experienced anything remotely similar to what is mentioned in those bad reviews. Carriage Green is very clean and the garbage in the apartments is emptied every day. The nursing staff are incredibly attentive, very competent and very compassionate. We thank you all for the dedication, care and humanity you provide and we highly recommend Carriage Green for anyone who is thinking about moving in and joining the community.

As a daughter, I couldn't be happier with the care and service at Carriage Green in Milford! I feel as if my Mom is safe and in a comforting and caring environment. The staff, from the nurses to the caregivers to the waitstaff, are all so friendly and excellent at what they do. I highly recommend Carriage Green to anyone looking for a well-run, caring, and safe place for their loved one.

Mom moved into Carriage Green at Milford in April 2023. My sister and I had checked out a few other facilities in the area before we chose Carriage Green. We are very happy we did. Mom had lived in the house my dad built for her for over 70 years, so we were a bit anxious about her transition to a new “home”. She loved it from day one. She was introduced to other residents who quickly became her friends. They enjoyed all their meals together. She participated in the activities, of which there were plenty. Ice cream socials, Wii Bowling, scenic rides, and Family Feud, just to name a few. Her favorite was the morning exercises. In January, Mom turned 100. We were able to have access to one of the rooms to have a family birthday party for her. Then, when the facility had their monthly birthday celebration, the staff went out of their way to focus on Mom. Cake, decorations, entertainment and even a proclamation from the Mayor of Milford. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. Everyone of them did their best to be sure Mom was comfortable and happy. Mom recently passed, but before she did, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, was there to make it a beautiful transition. Staff and residents were so attentive, caring and loving up until the very end and after. I will miss the friends I made there. I highly recommend Carriage Green for you or your loved one
