Canyon Valley Memory Care

While visiting family in Green Valley, I had the opportunity to tour Canyon Valley Memory Care Residence—and I’m so glad I did. As a Director at a memory care community in Minnesota, I’m always interested in seeing how other communities approach care and engagement. I had the pleasure of meeting with Yereth and Johanna, and I truly appreciated their professionalism and willingness to take time out of their day to share their approach and insights. The community itself is absolutely immaculate, and more importantly, it’s filled with residents who are clearly happy, engaged, and well cared for. What stood out most to me was their strong focus on life enrichment, particularly their thoughtful use of the Montessori Method to create meaningful, purposeful activities for residents. If you are looking for memory care for a loved one in the Green Valley area, I would highly encourage you to visit Canyon Valley Memory Care Residence. It’s a beautiful community with a dedicated team doing things the right way.

The Canyon Valley Memory Care of Green Valley Arizona is an outstanding community for individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s. The Lifestyle Director is fantastic in giving individual help to each resident. All of the residents have time together with many activities that she presents to the community. For instance, they have morning meetings, exercise classes, they have arts and crafts. They have Happy Hour on Friday and BINGO, weather permitting, go on road trips to visit the local animal shelter, and to Canoa Ranch. One of the special things this Lifestyle Director does is that she always has a smile on her face. If a resident is sad, she sure knows how to help them smile. My husband was at this facility for 14 months and enjoyed his rehabilitation there. So if you have a loved one who needs an atmosphere that is comfortable in their rehabilitation needs, Canyon Valley Memory Care is the place to go

Took my therapy dog to their Christmas Festivities. They had a band and Santa and lots more. We had a wonderful time. The residents seemed to be enjoying it too. They know how to put on a party. They go all out for their people.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this memory care facility. From the moment you walk in, you feel a warm, welcoming environment that truly prioritizes the well-being and dignity of its residents. The staff is incredibly compassionate, attentive, and patient, always going above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable and cared for. One of the standout aspects is the activities program it is absolutely amazing. There is always something engaging and thoughtfully planned, from music and art to interactive games and social events. The team does a fantastic job of tailoring activities to meet residents where they are, encouraging participation while bringing joy and a sense of purpose to their daily lives.
