Canyon Valley Memory Care

Our food truck recently had the pleasure of being part of a fun little carnival event hosted by Canyon Valley Memory Care Residence, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the residents and participants all seemed genuinely happy and excited as they came up to the truck. The positive energy was contagious. A big shoutout to Johanna, the Lifestyle Director, who went above and beyond to accommodate us. Our truck and trailer are on the larger side, but thanks to her planning and hospitality, everything worked out perfectly.

We recently moved a family member to Canyon Valley for individualized assisted care. Needless to say this kind of experience was traumatic and a challenging adjustment for all of us. However, we couldn’t be more pleased with the level of caring given by all the staff. From the moment we entered the building we knew it was the right choice: the decor was cheery and welcoming—the way a home should be. Most importantly the variety of daily activities insures a social interaction seldom evident in other nursing homes. The activities director, Johanna Turnbull goes above and beyond to interact with patients to find what sparks their interests. She recently hosted a true CARNIVAL” complete with games, balloons, face painting —everything to make kids young and old happy. The fire department was represented and many volunteers staged various games such as putting golf and bean toss . There were food trucks and goodies. Best of all both the residents and their families thoroughly enjoyed the get together. We made new friends and memories. Thank you Canyon Valley for bringing the best out in all of us.

We moved my mother in to Canyon Valley Memory Care Residents about 8 months ago. Johanna Turnbull and the wonderful team at Canyon Valley made mom's transition to assisted living such a easy and smooth transition for both mom and me and my wife. I am so thankful for all their care and support that they give to my mother and my family. I am truly happy, but more importantly is that my mother is happy. I got the honor of volunteering at The Carnival for a Cause event. What an amazing event Johanna Turnball and the team put together. So many people from the community participated and showed up. The fire department, high school kids, hospice teams, and so many others. My 10. Y. O came and had the time of his life visiting the booths that the residents were running. I have to say it was a lot of fun for both young and old.
