Callaway Gardens Alzheimer’s Special Care

My father has been a resident here for about a month and a half. My wife and I are very impressed with the facilities here. We often have lunch at one of the dining halls when we visit, and the cost of a meal ticket for a visitor (per person) is only $10-- the best value compared to any meal in the area, which is a big plus in my book. Staff is warm and friendly, and very attentive to my father's needs. We enjoy the activities, as does my father. Residential rooms are comfortable. The location is quiet. I can't think of anything I would wish to improve, because staff is quite willing to address any small concerns we-- my sister and my mother, as well as wife and I-- have. Sister, mother, and I are the family points of contact, and staff has been excellent in their communication with us.

Mom has been here almost 2 years and it was a hard decision but it’s what was best for her. The staff is friendly and caring. They have fun activities daily for the residents. They even do events to include the family. I highly recommend them.

I visit this place frequently for work, and the staff there are truly wonderful people. They are always exceptionally helpful and take the time to assist me during my visits. I also really appreciate how well they maintain the cleanliness of the entire building, both inside and out. The menu offers excellent and delicious options, prepared by a fantastic team.

I have been honored to watch Laura Riojas, Administrator at Callaway Gardens Alzheimer's Special Care Center and her team giving excellent, kind and loving care to all of their residents. Laura has longevity in her department head nursing team and that in itself speaks volumes of the consistent care needed especially in memory care. God bless all those who love and care for the residents and families walking through the grief of Dementia.
