And, of course, we didn't skimp out on home-like comforts. Before move-in day, you'll be able to choose between multiple apartment floor plan options to find the best fit for your lifestyle and preferences. No matter what floor plan you end up picking, your space will come outfitted with a private bathroom, spacious closets, and windows that let in plenty of natural light.
When it comes to your care plan, everything is customized based on your needs—which also means your care plan is flexible as your needs change over time. With assisted living, you enjoy core life enhancement services like housekeeping and restaurant-style dining. If you need a helping hand with small things like dressing, grooming, or medication management, our care staff is here to help.
If your needs change over time, it's an easy transition to our memory care program. Rooted in a person-centered approach, our memory care program is designed to help seniors with Alzheimer's and dementia thrive. This means we take care of the basics and more. If you need help with more involved daily tasks, like getting around campus or dining, we're happy to help and provide gentle encouragement along the way.
With memory care, residents also receive a structured path of engagement which includes a minimum of six daily activities to strengthen cognitive, physical, and social skills. This may include activities like clustered group discussions, music therapy, and walking groups.
As a safety-first campus, we have a 24-hour security system installed on the grounds, and we also have care staff on campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency.

I visited several places to find a place to care for my partner who had developed dementia. Others were nice, some were pretty luxurious, but Brookdale felt homey and comfortable. The Memory Care Unit is excellent. It takes a special kind of person to work with patients like these, and all of the staff do their very best to provide the best care for these people who often need a great deal of assistance.

On behalf of myself, my sister and our families, we would like to thank Brookdale of South Windsor for the exceptional and loving care of our father, John Hamilton, who passed away on 2/25/25. From the exceptional leadership that begins with their Director, David Stevens, to Brookdale’s amazing staff and their angelic caregivers, we are blessed and grateful for the unconditional love that was given to our father during his last months and final days of life. We highly recommend Brookdale South Windsor, to any family member who is looking for the most compassionate, helpful, honest, ethical and truly loving environment for their parent or loved one. My sister and I are grateful and peaceful that we were able to offer our father the best and most loving care in his final days. We are forever, grateful. Thank you, Brookdale. Sincerely. Lisa and Kathy (John’s daughters)

Dawn Cecere, our mom , passed away on 6/22/25 at Brookdale South Windsor. It took time to convince our mom that she could've alone anymore. Being in the same home for over 67years she was resistant. We started at Brookdale South Windsor and then looked at the others nearby. On the surface they're all about the same. But dig deep and you'll see the difference. David, Stacey, Sheila all part of management we're instrumental with Dawn's comfort and care. They jump in we're ever they're needed regardless of their position. My mom needed an aide to go with her to her eye doctor. When I arrived to meet with the doctor Dave, the facility director, was sitting in the waiting room. When asked why he was there he said at time of departure they were short on cna's. As if its routine. Jennifer at the front desk, Alissa in activities all went out of there way to make it a comfortable setting. I think the management have created an "all in" attitude with the entire staff. Nurse Juliette Liz, Nass etc we're on top of Dawn's personal needs. The cna's critical to her care and comfort. As nothing is ever perfect what is important is to find a place and people who care about making it as perfect as possible. You'll find it here.
