Brookdale Penn Hills (edit) I'm editing my review to reflect the fact that everyone at Brookdale Pen Hills with the possible exception of one has been notably helpful, polite and friendly. My early review was based on the fact that I have been IMO both baited and switched and gouged. My opinion about that has not changed. They did raise mu mother's fees almost the moment my mother moved in, knowing I would be reluctant to make her move again. They also still have a $500 monthly fee for getting supplies which I am able to do in about fifteen minutes a month, which surely is price gouging. If you want to charge an extra 500 a month, that's up to you. But don't charge one thing and come back with a fee you pressure people into paying that amounts to $500 for 15 minutes work. I'm responsible for my mother not being taken advantage of. Why should I have to fight to see that doesn't happen? In any case, the very person I held most responsible has since been really helpful, kind and polite and I'm inclined to weigh that about equally with my earlier, really very bad, experience. I hope they will continue to be conscientious and sensitive about caring for my mother.

Brookdale Senior Living in Penn Hills was a blessing for my Mom in her time of need. From intake to daily care, the Director and staff were responsive and caring. The facility is clean and welcoming. The monthly pricing was the best in the Pittsburgh Area for the level of quality care provided. I recommend this facility, it is more like a family home than private assisted living. Thanks to everyone who works at Brookdale Penn Hills.

My mom has been there almost a year and she loves it there. The staff are nice, helpful, & caring. The food is great! Their are daily activities Monday thru Saturday. But this year they raised their price and cut back on activities. Interaction & activities with other people are important at their age. It keeps their mind active and them moving. Would have given a 5 star if they wouldn't have cut back on activities

I cant recommend Brookdale Penn Hills enough!! The staff are the most amazing and caring people that make sure the residents are not only cared for but active and enjoying their time there. It brings me great joy knowing not only how well looked after my mother is but how happy she is there. The facility is clean and the food is good. There are activities going on all day for the residents to stay active and social with. Thank you Brookdale Penn hills for all that you do!
