Respite care is short-term or temporary care. Respite care can be provided in adult day centers, in private homes via home health agencies and in senior living communities, most often assisted living or skilled nursing facilities.
Personal Care
Personal care involves assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, medication management, and mobility support to help maintain independence and enhance day-to-day life.

Pulling from a variety of reliable data sources, Walk Score® measures the walkability of any address, helping you understand how easy it is to live a car-free lifestyle. Transit Score®, when available, measures how well a location is served by public transit. Scores range from 0 to 100, with higher scores indicating more amenities within walking distance and diverse transit options nearby.

When looking for a place for my mom, it was important to find not only a location that was close to home but one that included active staff involvement and resident participation in all activities of daily living. Care Patrol introduced us to Allegheny Place and we were embraced quickly by the onsite Sales Director, Jilene Miller. Following a thorough tour, Jilene guided us through a thoughtful explanation of the level of care and attention provided to each and every resident on a daily basis. We had found the home for mom! The entire staff has proven to be kind, capable, and engaged. Mom is enjoying her new residence, the accommodations, daily interaction with her neighbors, the food and the activities. There is always something to do. A special shout out to Mary Kugel, the awesome Activities Director! Our family feels extremely fortunate to have found Allegheny Place.

Jill is an absolute treasure! She doesn’t stop going above and beyond everything imaginable. She truly cares and doesn’t go through the motions as we’ve seen in other facilities. Allegheny Place is a better place because of Jill.

Although my Mom was never able to become a resident here, this is exactly where we wanted her to be. From first speaking with Jil M. on the phone to then meeting her and touring the facility it was nothing short of wonderful. She was so welcoming to us and made us feel a part of the facility family and we would so have felt comfortable with our Mom there. Unfortunately she was called to Heaven before we could bring her to the facility. It is a top notch facility from top to bottom. I would definitely recommend having a patent or spouse her.

one the nicest buildings. i've had several family members and friends that not only have worked here but also have brought their family members here and Ive always heard such great things. I decided to bring my aunt here, as she is one of my only living relatives that are older that im close to, not only is she extremely happy here but I got a nice surprise by seeing somebody that I've crossed paths with quite a few times in taking care of a lot of other family members, who is the new E.D. Michelle. I have met Michelle many, many years ago and I've had a lot of family members and friends that I've gone in and out of homes and I've run into her a few times throughout the years and she is always been fantastic. Her priority is caring for her residents, but not only her residents, but her employees as well. The buildings she has ran are always some of the happiest when she's there and she's an excellent person and excellent E.D. I think its just fantastic too be working with her again.
