Everybody at Brookdale Montclair Poulsbo is compassionate and effective. They created a wonderful environment for my mother's last years. There are a lot of activities for the residents and anyone who wants to can have a full life there. I can recommend it to anyone whose loved one needs help. My mother recently passed and everyone from the Executive Director Adam down to the nurses and orderlies was so kind and thoughtful. They took charge and made it easy on us.

Great potential, but needs improvement. Staff is good, but not enough of them. Property limits the amount of activities.

Our situation is pretty unique. My Aunt came to Brookdale from a facility in California to be closer to family. The management at Brookdale has done a great job in helping our family navigate everything that it has taken to work with the fiduciaries, medical care, and everything that had to happen to make the move. I was a CNA in California and have found the care at Brookdale to be excellent. One thing that I really like is how Brookdale has employees that are working under the guidance of trained professionals and they are seeking their own higher level certifications as RNs and CNAs. In today's times, learning institutions are doing a great job at helping our society. My Aunt is in the memory care side of Brookdale. I am so happy that they are completely accommodating to allow un fettered open access to come and go as we please around the clock. They work with us to schedule outings and ensure that we are aware of any medication impacts. The facility at Brookdale in Poulsbo is fantastic. The areas established for the residents are many. My Aunt's and our favorite is the 'coffee shop' where there is hot coffee, snacks, and what my Aunt loves most, fresh daily papers from Kitsap Sun and Seattle Times. There are also hundreds of books with extra large print available for reading. The activities are also something that I did not expect. What caused me to write this review was that today when we stopped by, my Aunt was working with a group who were making Valentine cards and putting flower arrangements together in vases. Above and beyond! This means so much. It is also wonderful to have the in house beauty shop. Deborah is great and being able to get the manicures and haircuts there is appreciated. I need to give first name shout outs and thanks to the management and staff who have helped us. You have also made an impression on my parents and brought peace of mind for optional care for them near family should it be necessary. Thanks Adam, Heidi, Jason, Kristi, Aymi, Deborah, Bethany, and Michelle.
