Brookdale Eagan is completely different than other nursing homes my mother has been in. My mother is happy and well cared for which is a great relief for me. The staff knows her well and reaches out to me if there are any issues.

I have been a volunteer at Brookdale Memory Care for 7 years. Formerly Clairebridge. I volunteer to share Bible stories with the residents. The staff have been so very helpful to my fellow volunteer and I and so friendly and kind to us. This has been an outstanding facility to visit. Always very clean and tidy. There has never been any issue with that. The staff have been very accommodating in helping us find a quiet comfortable setting to share our Bible Stories. They are courteous and a joy to visit. We love the new decor inside which gives a nice welcoming place to be during our visits. The residents who join us are well cared for and happy to visit. They, and the staff have truly become friends with us. I would highly recommend Brookdale to anyone who is looking for a happy safe place for their loved ones. Each time I visit there is a highlight of my week.

This place is expensive and doesn't provide all the services they charge for. Pricing is "al-la-cart" meaning they charge for everything. There were many caring staff, but the Health and Wellness Director, Michelle Allen uses bullying when you have concerns. She routinely threatened to raise the price when we had concerns, and she blamed inappropriate treatment on the victim's dementia. Perhaps she is on commission, but her focus was on extracting as much money from our family as possible. When she began to fight against hospice care and insisted on changing doctor's orders to suit herself, we moved my dying father to a different facility. It was a horrible experience to deal with when you're dealing with a dying family member. I cannot recommend this place. Keep looking.

My Mother lives in our home and we needed to find a two week respite for her when we were leaving the country for a tour. We had visited Brookdale before as part of our process in finding Mom a place to go should we not be able to take care of her in our home. Brookdale was one of two places that my Mom had positive feelings about out of seven different facilities. My Mom's stay ended up being very positive. The staff were so kind and helpful, making my Mom feel comfortable from day one. They never hesitated to contact us if they needed more information. They even texted me while I was on my trip to show her participating in different activities and to give me an update on how well she was doing. They also went out of their way to make my many family members, who visited, to feel welcome as well. Although my Mom was happy to get home to her own bed, when asked how she felt about Brookdale, she said, "It was a nice place to be." She liked the food and said all of the staff were very nice. I would not hesitate to bring her there for a respite again and should the time she needs full-time care, this place would be on the top of our list.
