Our menu is filled with delicious meals that change daily. How does barbeque chicken or smothered pork chops sound? Or, if your sweet tooth strikes, homestyle cherry cobbler or lemon cake? Variety truly makes life at Brookdale feel like resort-living.
If you need help with little things, like dressing, grooming, or medication management, our staff is here to lend a helping hand and then step aside so you can live your life the way you choose to. From our very first phone call to the day my mom moved in, the staff at Brookdale Country Day Road made us feel like family. Megan took the time to thoroughly explain every option available to my mom, including financial resources that we didn’t even know existed and helped us work towards the decision as a family, without ever making us feel pressured. The day mom moved in, they truly rolled out the red carpet... literally, there was an actual red carpet! It was such a special touch that made us feel like they had been waiting just for her. When we walked into her apartment, there were little items and details that reflected things we had casually mentioned she liked, I didn't even realize they were paying attention. It meant so much to our family. Mom has now been at Country Day Road for going on three months and I haven’t seen her this engaged, social, and genuinely happy in years. She’s participating in activities, making friends, and enjoying life again. Erin, their Activity director is fantastic. Also, Ashley, the nurse and her clinical team truly stay on top of mom's needs. They are amazing. I am so thankful we made the move when we did. I never write reviews but I think it's helpful to share with other families who may be in the same dilemma that we were. We are so happy with our decision in choosing this community.

Called with questions about assisted living for family member. Spoke with Megan, she was absolutely wonderful. Polite, professional and gave me more information than I knew to ask. She helped in lifting a burden that was on my mind with just her information and compassion.

Awful, is the best thing we can say. We love our family member too much to leave them in this place!! I've observed ceilings dripping into trash cans countless visits, disgusting carpeting and huge annual rate increases ($400 to $500) and a Manager tell the staff member to tell us he is too busy to simply talk to us. BTW, there are NO GENERATORS, so we are told, so the elevator and heating/ AC, etc... have been down MUTLIPLE TIMES and our handicapped loved one has had no other choice but to walk up a and down a stairwell. Our family member was always asking for food, stating "They can't keep a cook" or the food is so bad they need something else or "The staff goes in and out eating what they want before we are served and they run out"! One evening, we pulled in and witnessed 2 staff members walking outside, popped the trunk of a car in a front parking spot, allow some items to drop into the truck from UNDER THEIR SHIRTS, close the trunk and stroll back inside. We've seen bed bugs!!! This was an ongoing issue for WAAAAY TO LONG and too many excuses. We love our family member too much to have allowed this to continue to go on any longer.
