Choosing Brookdale in Garland for my in-laws was no easy task. They visited several communities before making their decision, and ultimately, what made that decision so much easier was Marvin Lemus. From the very beginning, Marvin was amazing. He made my in-laws feel genuinely welcomed, comfortable, and cared for, which gave them the confidence to give Brookdale a try. We are so glad they did because they have been incredibly happy there. As a family, it also gives us tremendous peace of mind knowing Marvin is there. He communicates with us regularly, keeps us informed, and is always approachable whenever we have a question or concern. You can tell that this isn't simply a job to him—he truly cares about the residents and their families. Marvin is incredibly caring, personable, attentive, and compassionate. He knows the residents, takes the time to connect with them, and consistently goes above and beyond to help. He has a way of making people feel important and cared for, and that means more than I can express when you are entrusting someone with the care and happiness of people you love. The community itself is also very well maintained. The facilities are well taken care of, everything is always clean, and you can tell that there is pride in keeping the property welcoming and comfortable for the residents. I especially loved seeing all of the American flags displayed for the Fourth of July. It was such a beautiful, festive touch and made the community feel even more like home. Brookdale Garland simply would not be the same without Marvin. He is truly the heart of the community, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he does—not only for my in-laws, but for all of the residents and their families. Knowing they are happy, comfortable, and surrounded by people who genuinely care gives our entire family tremendous peace of mind.

I have a loved one there who just moved in and the staff is so friendly and helpful. Geneva Mendoza has especially been outstanding. She helped my mom to get into another apartment when the one she was supposed to had issues. She is very caring and great at following up on questions I have. She is a great employee and should be taken care of to keep her on your staff!

I have had quite a bit of experience with Brookdale‘s throughout the country and this is by far one of the best that I have encountered. My mother-in-law is in the independent living section of Brookdale in Garland and it is fabulous. They are always willing to help her and the dining hall has very good food and there is always an excess of activities going on within the community of Brookdale. I have nothing negative to say about this facility only extreme praise.

My mom moved to Brookdale Club Hill in March of 2026. She is so happy in her new environment. Her apartment is spacious and clean. The balcony outside of her apartment gives her a perfect spot to enjoy her morning coffee. The activity director is outstanding at his job. Before moving to Club Hill, my mom was a bit lonely. Now, I can't keep up with her social calendar. The food at Club Hill is excellent. I am impressed with the quality and variety of the meals served. I no longer worry that she is not eating. Everyone that works at Brookdale Club Hill seems to enjoy their job. My mom is treated with kindness and respect. In addition, I am appreciative of the assistance I get from the staff every time I have a question or need help with paperwork. The grounds at Club Hill are lovely. I feel that my mom is safe walking around the grounds. The water fountains, fish and ducks are a nice bonus. My mom often tells me that she feels so blessed. Club Hill is a big part of that blessing. If you are checking out Assisted Living facilities for your loved one, I would recommend seeing Club Hill after you have viewed a few others first. I think you will easily see how this facility rises above the rest.
