Brandywine Assisted Living at Huntington Terrace

We are incredibly grateful to Charlene for making our decision to choose Brandywine so much easier. From the moment we took the tour it was her knowledge, experience and warmth that made us feel confident about choosing Brandywine. Now that mom has been there about two months we couldn’t be happier with the care she has been receiving. The staff are attentive, compassionate and always ensure her safety and well being. From personalized attention, daily activities and wonderful meals it is clear that the team at Brandywine is dedicated to their residents. Our mom feels safe, comfortable and cared for. We are thankful to everyone at Brandywine.

I looked at a number of places to find one where my Mom would be happy. When Kristen gave us a tour, she said hello to everyone, guest and staff, by name. In each case, she had a pleasant exchange, noting that she had seen a man's son visiting earlier or was Mary going on the shuttle to the store. The public spaces were clean, bright and welcoming. Mom moved into independent living in her mid-nineties and enjoyed activities and meals with a caring community for over 5 years. Whenever I visited, staff knew me by name and were incredibly gracious and willing to help with whatever was needed. Well above and beyond! She enjoyed her 100th birthday with the community. When she became ill and went to rehab, staff reached out to see how she was doing and were more than kind to me and my family. When she returned to assisted living, many staff came by to visit and check on her. As her health declined, she moved to hospice care where she passed peacefully. I cannot say enough good things about Brandywine Huntington. Everyone was kind and helpful every step of the way. I live several states away, but always knew my Mom was in good hands. Communication is excellent.

Brandywine Living at Huntington Terrace is a wonderful place. I have worked as a Social Worker in the field of Geriatrics for over 25 years and have been to many Assisted Living Facilities. I have had family members at several facilities in NY and I now have a family member at Brandywine. I can tell you from professional and personal experience that making the move to Brandywine was such a wonderful decision for my loved one. My entire (large family) could not be happier to see how she loves her new home. I know that moving a senior from their home can be a difficult decision, but it is so worth the adjustment - once you see your loved one thrive, making friends, joining clubs, regaining some of their independence with the support they need, you will have peace of mind. Brandywine is a wonderful place, it is clean and bright, the staff is wonderful, the apartments and common areas are lovely and the residents are treasured- it's a place where seniors are like my loved one are living beautiful lives.

My dad was a resident at Brandywine Independent Living in Melville for five months. Brandywine is a clean, caring, comfortable place to live. Everyone there did their best to make my dad feel welcome and a part of the Brandywine family. Before he even moved in, Kristin was a warm and professional presence who was a wonderful asset not only to my dad, but to our entire family. She is always a helpful resource who problem solves every issue that arises. Tara was a caring, helpful advisor who was always there when my dad needed assistance. Robert became a good friend for my dad at the daily happy hours. He always put a smile on his face. Dionne went above and beyond to satisfy my dad’s dietary requests. When my dad’s needs increased, Jeff, Cathy, and Stephanie were there to advise and assist with important decisions and helped to ease his transition to a skilled nursing facility. Brandywine Independent Living and Assisted Living are facilities filled with people who truly care about their residents. My family and I will always be grateful to these caring professionals.
