My mom felt welcomed and loved IMMEDIATELY when we walked in. We had lunch there and the sales person gave us a tour. After lunch as we were waiting for our tour several staff and residents stopped to talk with us. They were so warm and friendly. My mom even had a long conversation with one of the gals who will probably be her first friend there. The chef, who I heard was open to suggestions, said he would be happy to try some of her recipes saying that it certainly wouldn't be as good as when she made it. We visited two other senior facilities this week and NOTHING came close to how we felt at Sunrise of Plainview! She plans on moving there next year.

The place is cozy and has a family atmosphere. Michelle, the sales director knows her job extremely well. She understands completely the wants and needs of the family of the loved one and makes the transition as simple as can be. She takes the time to talk and get to know the would be resident and the family. She has a warm personality and is a great asset to Sunrise.

Sunrise of Plainview has been our mom’s home for the past 2 years. Our family has piece of mind that she has thrived in the warm and attentive environment that the staff provides. I’m sure we have not met all of the wonderful staff. I’m certain they are all as caring as Angela, Phyllis and Linda at the front desk, as well as Sara, Kamla, Claire, Nancy, Gabriel, the nursing and dining staff, and all the others I have failed to mention. It gives our family great piece of mind to know that our mom continues to lead an enjoyable and engaging life at Sunrise of Plainview.

It is a daunting responsibility to find an assisted living facility for someone who has survived a stroke and other medical issues. SUNRISE Plainview was the choice. We started the long journey with the invaluable assistance of Michelle Martinez. Michelle took time to explain every step of the process. She knows well the organizational structure of the facility and has guided us as needed. We are impressed by the way Michelle goes the extra mile. She listens with patience and speaks with kindness, always with a smile in her voice. She is the type of employee who gives a good name to an organization.
