Benedictine Living Community – Rochester Towers

The care and service my Mom has received at Madonna Towers has been wonderful. Every staff person gives their all to ensure my Mom feels comfortable and valued. The positive spirit we continually find at Madonna Towers gives me and my family peace of mind that Mom is in the right place!

This was the only place I wanted to tour and live. My father’s parents and my parents were here and eventually passed away here. I have wonderful memories bringing my son here to visit all of them with me. We didn’t have any complaints about the care they received both in the independent apartment for my grandparents to the memory care and nursing home for all four of them. I knew coming here that the building is one of the older ones in town, but it’s the people who make living here great. From the highest administrator to the maintenance and people cleaning the rooms and facilities all take pride in their jobs and are so helpful and kind. The receptionists keeps track of all persons living here and are very knowledgeable about everything that happens here. If they don’t know they can direct us to whom we should speak to. One wonderful feature is some tenants even have their pets (like cats or small dogs) living here with them. The owners have to adhere to the rules that are given (like barking, no soiling inside the apartment) etc. Even the administrator has given personal help to a client to help curtail some mild barking within their apartment so their pet can continue to remain here. The pets are very popular to a lot of the residents that live here. The staff here are friendly and helpful. Since I’ve lived here I’ve developed a lot of new friendships and enjoy the companionship. Any donations are put to great use and they are continually working on minor to major improvements. Do I like it here? YES! With the convenience of having a laundry room on every floor and a big common one in the basement to activities, 2 vans to take people to appointments to shopping places etc there really isn’t a need to go out into bad weather unless a person has to go to a clinic appointment. We even have a hair salon and Towers Market for a lot of personal items a person may need. The last thing I want to mention is I love living on an upper floor with great views out my windows. The sunsets (when the weather cooperates) are gorgeous. And finally DoorDash, Instacart etc deliver up to our apartments when needed. I love watching the people who help people around here. Be it other residents or staff working here. It’s definitely one community! You can watch all employees stopping and chatting with residents often as well. A very caring place to live!

Great communication, independent living apartment was clean, freshly painted and ready for move in day. Marketing director was a delight to work with. Maintenance has been very helpful.

My Mom has lived at Madonna Towers for 4.5 years since my Dad passed away, and she absolutely loves it. Even though she has zero short term memory and repeats herself over and over, everyone has been so welcoming and kind to her and treats her with respect. She loves her independent living apartment with its separate bedroom and closet space, and especially loves the enclosed balcony which gives her a nice view of the world year round, like a 4-season porch. She is on the 20-meal per month plan which is perfect for her, as she likes to make her own breakfast and lunch, and then either eats with us or has leftovers or a frozen dinner the rest of the days. She appreciates the onsite chapel, where she stops to pray every day, as well as the small store for her grocery needs and chocolate treats! They have lots of activities, weekly bingo, and occasional pet therapy which is her favorite! They also have many different musicians come to entertain about once a week, and birthday parties every month. As one of her caregivers, I have also felt welcomed by the MT staff and frequently sit in on their Town Hall meetings and Resident Council meetings. They also have a Family Council meeting for us to discuss any concerns. I am so happy that we found a safe and happy place for our Mom to live out her senior years.
