Avista Nampa

Mix of great staff and not great administrator. He assured my family that his home could handle Mom, an Alzheimer's patient. They couldn't, and made me move in and live in her room 24/7 for a week to do it for him, then we moved her out. The Staff was experienced and nice, especially Glenda. For anyone who is either bed-bound or mobile and of sound mind, it would work extremely well as a clean, pleasant environment with great nurses and aids, rec opportunities, a well kept central green space, and seasoned, good food. But it's not what I'll remember.

I generally enjoy Avista Senior Living Nampa, though there have been some minor issues. Though they seem to be working through some of them. With the recent changes in administration, from the Executive Director to the Director of Nursing and Business Manager, I've noticed that staff members aren't assisting the Activities Director or Cook during large events. Previously, under the old Executive Director, all the staff pitched in to serve food and drinks to residents and their families, as well as help with clean-up. The new management needs to do the same! Please stop relying on visitors to help serve food, drinks, and clean-up, as it's the responsibility of all staff to contribute and ensure a pleasant experience for everyone.

From the top down, the staff at Avista Nampa is exceptional. The Administrator Cristina was wonderful in making sure we were comfortable with the transition to the facility and that all our loved one’s needs were met. Her attentiveness carries down to every staff member we have encountered. It has been a month and we are so glad we chose this facility. All of the staff have been MORE than helpful and so kind and caring. The housekeeper Glenda is amazing, the room is kept up and she checks in as she is going to another task. You can see that she takes pride in her job and enjoys keeping the residents happy and clean. Keith and Augie were invaluable with their help in getting things moving and settled. All the Resident Assistants are kind and attentive, front desk Nicole and Catina are always there to help. Jodie the Activity Director really gives her all and has the patience of Job with the residents. This is a top notch place that is well run by the guidance and example of the Administrator Cristina who shows she cares by checking in occasionally. Our family member has lived in assisted living for 13 years so we are talking from experience and we certainly made the right choice in this Facility. Five stars seems inadequate.

As an outside agency nurse coming into the facility to care for my patients on hospice, it is so nice to work with staff that show so much love and care for their residents. They are always there when I need them and I appreciate them all. They treat the residents as family and truly care for them. There is a variety of activities and events to try and suit everyone's taste. I can't say enough good things about everyone there.
