Avista Senior Living in Ellensburg has been such an incredible experience. I had a family friend who was unsure at first because of the smaller size of the community. But after staying here, she has absolutely no regrets and honestly now sees that sometimes smaller really is better. If you’re looking for quality care and people who truly care, Avista is special. Because it’s a smaller community, the caregivers and staff really take the time to get to know each resident personally their routines, their personalities, what makes them smile, and what they need. That kind of attention is hard to find. What stands out most is how warm and family-like it feels. Not only do the caregivers know the residents, but even the management team takes the time to know residents and families personally too. That’s rare. In many places, management can feel distant, but at Avista they are present, involved, and genuinely caring. Yes, it may be smaller but that’s part of what makes it so wonderful. Awesome staff! We needed a safe place for my father in law when it became difficult for him to live alone. The staff was so accommodating and caring to him and us, it made a difficult situation much easier. He ended up passing soon after we moved him there and they were so compassionate and helpful. I would definitely recommend Avista to anyone looking for a safe space for an elderly loved one.
