Its hard to write a review as I'm not an unreasonable family member or a disrespectful resident. Anyway my time there was good. The CNAs and Skilled nurses were effective and pleasant. I hope to never see them again in the capacity of a patient which would mean they did their purpose successfully.

My veteran son was receiving rehabilitation at Avamere Sunnyside after several hospital stays. He has many dietary restrictions due to his MS. The kitchen staff truly did their best to meet his dietary needs. When his regular insurance coverage ran out, Deanna Thompson of social services worked tirelessly to find a long term care facility that would accept VA benefits. He ended up going to Portland, but we were so thankful she found him a new care facility that would be covered by the Veterans Administration benefits. I asked my son how he felt about Avamere Sunnyside, his reply, "I felt they gave me 110%"

My dad did not get any breakfast. They told him it's due to the "bird flu" that he would not get fried eggs. I know for a fact that better care systems, like the Lebanon Community Hospital my dad was at, has eggs to cook with for breakfast... with or without it being the "bird flu" going on. Your job is to provide. You need to start offering gluten-free foods. My dad is gluten intolerant to where he gets itchy blotches on his face... some people are gluten-intolerant and Celiac, so you need to start providing gluten-free bread options! For Celiacs that's choosing between life or death to eat wheat. My dad is a health-conscious person. A city with tens of thousands more people has worse food options than Lebanon with roughly 20,000?! Also, he rang for you countless times to help him over to use the bathroom, and nobody showed up. He has to walk over there himself! What if he fell? He is in there for PHYSICAL rehab. The Lebanon Community Hospital had people checking up on him a good amount all day. I know my mom can help him to the bathroom better than these people. She'll earnestly try, and not just ghost him. Terrible place. I forwarned my mom. Avamere pretty much everywhere has terrible reviews, probably for good reason.
