Avamere Rehab of King City

I was a patient in January 2026 for two weeks. I was very pleased with my stay. The Staff from housekeeping to Nursing were all professional. I enjoyed my stay with this Group. I had never been in a facility before this and much to my surprise, if I had to reside in one in the future, Avamere would be the one. Thank you to all the Staff. Florence PS: Almost forgot to mention it was great having someone to cook for me. Dietary was wonderful.

My boyfriend ended up with bruises that nobody knew where they came from. They messed up his medicines with his roommate's medicines. They did call but the next day my boyfriend wasn't acting right and when I told the nurse she just said oh he's fine. Although I did get a call he had fallen twice. When the nurse buttons were down they did give them bells to ring but anytime I went to visit their doors were shut. It could be a little cleaner although it does smell good when you first walked in.

I would rate this place with a negative if I could. The leadership staff here is a joke. My mom was taking a turn, and when the CNA told the administrator, the CNA was told to stay in her lane because she was not a nurse. My mom's roommate was the one who ended up calling me to alert me of her condition and I went to her and asked for an ambulance to be called. If you have to find a place for a loved one, keep on looking. If you are not available to check on your person on a daily, find another place. I was constantly in there advocating for my mom, and she still had challenges getting the staff on board. They changed her medicine one time because it made her poop a lot, so they cut the frequency. I had to go in there and make a scene and get it fixed. Nobody in leadership will contact you or communicate with you except Lindsey. Lindsey is the best of the worst. My mom passed in the hospital after 10 days, and I have still not heard anything from the staff as of now, 5 days later. The business office called me 2 days into her hospital stay and asked for her payment for the month. No concern or inquiry about my mom's condition. So sad. I have so many regrets. Learn from my mistake and do not have these regrets or put your loved one through this place. You will regret it. The state should close this place down. That is my next phone call, but I wanted the public to know and hopefully save a family from this experience while I get the state involved. Don't move anyone here. Bad things will happen.

I read the reviews and questioned the angry responses. I choose to inspect this facility and make an informed decision. The facility is clean, staff were pleasant, and the therapy members answered all my questions. I feel people post angry reviews instead of asking for accommodations. True no one will take care of your loved one the way you can; however, they are there because they need help that you can't provide. Try thanking a nurse instead of yelling at them. I'm going to give this facility my business and not listen to the haters.
