Overall I had a good experience. The beginning of the week is much better staff, CNAs and nursing wise, the end of the week nursing and CNA are hit and miss. Ida is hands down the most caring and empathetic nurse. Sam, Elizabeth and Carmelita are hands down the best CNAs, I did have a less than pleasant experience with a CNA telling me I’m ungreatful for wanting another walk aside the 3 min walk she gave, an additional cna laughing at the situation and the nurse trying to stop the CNA’s… Elizabeth kept me up and moving her whole shift I can’t thank her enough, as I work in health care I understand and have no issues stopping and sitting for them to care for clients, Her determination to allow me the opportunity to be walking the majority of her shift while she maintained care for others helped in my recovery. I understand that I’m young but I’m determined to go home I’m determined to get up as much as possible. Admission staffing are both wonderful beautiful souls Andrea will listen and help you and go above and beyond her job duties. Front desk staffing is also hands down amazing, had many wonderful conversations with them. I did have an issue with a twice a week bath which was not an issue once I asked the dr to write an order for daily baths. If you prefer your loved one to be bathed more frequently all you need to do is ask the dr to write an order. Activities direct is a man with an amazing soul, he truly cares about each and every one of us. The social worker Madison is amazing she went above and beyond for me. Pt and OT went above and beyond without them I’d still be unable to walk. A huge thank you to everyone who encouraged me and allowed me extra walking time! Kaiser Dr and nursing facilitator were not my cup of tea they could have bedside manners and be more respectful. As someone who works in the field, I myself would have a mandatory training/refresher for all staffing including drs who are contracted, on bedside manners, proper way to speak to clients and how to best utilize answering call lights so some clients are not waiting 30+ minutes for help.

I am absolutely appalled with staff behavior. I called and left a message for the social services lady 2 days in a row with no call back so I call the front desk, all I’m wanting to know is whether or not we can pick up our family member for Thanksgiving and bring her back…simple question one would think. I tell this to the front desk person and he says “uh uh uh I think you’d have to talk to the nurse” so then I politely ask him to transfer me and he finally (reluctantly) agreees and I sit on hold for literally 55 minutes before I finally gave up, and now when I call back no one will answer the phone, I don’t understand why this is such a hard question to answer?? Do better, Avamere…or hire better because right now your staff is very unprofessional and rude.

Great facility in a great area! The nurses, aids, and the rest of the team were so welcoming and quick to help. I recommend this facility to anyone looking for rehab or long-term care!

Avoid this place at all costs! I had a less than pleasant experience here. The staff lack professionalism and neglect to properly care for residents. The hygiene standards are extremely poor. My mom's room even flooded with water from the bathroom sink. This is not the ideal place for recovery. In fact, my mom's health deteriorated while she was here, so I quickly transferred her to a different facility for better care.
