Comfortable, well maintained with friendly people. Seems like a desirable place to call home. Makenzie was a delight during our tour!

My Mom and I went to get her hair cut. Carol did a lovely job. It does look like the salon could use some upgrades. Mom also took me around and she loves how you have decorated all over the place. My Mom did say that the Christmas music in the dining area makes it hard for her to hear what her table mates are saying. And it’s not that it’s too loud it just interfers with her hearing aids. Not sure if there is actually anything that can be done. Otherwise everything is good.

My wife and I took a tour and were very impressed with the floor plans of the 2 BR deluxe apartment. Shelly was consultant. She was very helpful. She answered all our questions. Shelly said she would follow up with us in a couple weeks. She also invited us to come back and have dinner with a resident couple. No other Independent community offered to do that. They don't have a swimming pool. This isn't a deal breaker, as silver sneakers offers free memberships to a fitness center with a pool. Fee indoor parking is a big benefit not offered by other communities we have visited. The meal options are 1, 2 or 3 meals per day. I wish the apartments had dishwashers. This is a very large property. I believe they said 47 aceres. The outside areas are beautiful. I think the areas to the North are a Cook County Forest Preserve. I need to find out if there are any walking trails available accessible to the residents.

I would not recommend leaving your mother or father in the care of Mary’s hands. Although I am sure she’s qualified for her position, She shows zero care or love for any of the residents. Her coldness made me constantly fear for my grandmother well-being. She made visiting very difficult. All I wish is that I had been able to spend more time with my grandma
