Arbor Terrace Mountainside

Our mom has been a resident at Arbor Terrace for the past 7 months. I cannot say enough about the staff and the facility. When you walk into the front door you are greeted with a smile and a hearty hello. The facility is lovely and the lobby is welcoming. The staff is caring and always helpful from the moment we decided our mom was going to move in. They assisted to expedite the paperwork to move her in, set up physical therapy to get her moving, ensure she gets the best care plus addresses all of our questions and concerns. They always have activities, live music weekly and movies for the residents. Arbor Terrace is a wonderful place .

Placing my aunt in Arbor Terrace of Mountainside has been a very positive experience. Maryam and Nick helped me swiftly get her transferred to the Evergreen Care unit from a different facility. Laura (Director) has been invaluable assessing her needs and is always available to discuss her progress. All of the staff are friendly, caring and patient. I feel assured that she is safe, well cared for and mentally stimulated in Arbor. The facility is always clean, including her room, the food is good and prepared for the residence needs. There is always a daily activity they can participate in. Our family is very pleased with the choice we made for memory care. The continued communication between staff and family is excellent.

My mom decided that an assisted living facility was right for her at this stage of her life. She asked me to help her find the right place. We visited a few places but she kept coming back to Arbor Terrace Mountainside as the place she felt most comfortable. An apartment became available this month and though she wasn’t “ready”, she thought that if she passed it by, another might not come up too soon. She moved in at the beginning of May 2025. In one week she has adjusted and said that it is the best decision she could have made. She has made friends, found several things to do that interest her, enjoyed the meals and the live music on Fridays and so much more. The staff has been much more than just helpful - they have made every step of the way comfortable and pleasant. Thanks go to Maryam (you eased the way and we are forever grateful), Madeleine, Janelle and Nick for all they’ve done to make mom feel welcome. I cannot say enough about this place. Even the women at the front desk are understanding, fun to talk to and accommodating. Though I am not yet ready for Arbor Terrace, I would seriously consider this place when the time comes. It is my mother’s new home and she is delighted.

They have made the application, orientation, move-in, and transition to living in an assisted living community easy and pleasant for our mom and for us. Her apartment and the building are beautifully maintained; the staff is positive, helpful and friendly; the dining room offers ample choices and food she enjoys; she is able to choose from a variety of offered activities daily and weekly; the health and well-being staff are supportive; there are many opportunities for her to socialize with her new neighbors.
