My family and I couldn’t be happier with our experience at Arbor Terrace Morris Plains. Moving a loved one into assisted living is never an easy decision, but from the very first visit, the team made us feel confident and supported. The move-in process was smooth, organized, and incredibly welcoming. The staff went above and beyond to help my loved one feel at home right away — from helping decorate their apartment to personally introducing them to other residents. Within days, they were already participating in activities and making new friends. What has truly amazed us is how much they are thriving. The activity calendar is full of engaging events — social gatherings, fitness classes, games, outings, and creative programs. There is always something to look forward to, and the atmosphere is warm, vibrant, and positive. The dining experience is wonderful as well, with delicious meals and plenty of options. Most importantly, the care and attention provided by the staff is exceptional. They are compassionate, attentive, and genuinely treat residents like family. It gives us such peace of mind knowing our loved one is not only safe but genuinely happy. If you’re considering assisted living in Morris Plains, I wholeheartedly recommend Arbor Terrace. I moved to Arbor Terrace in May of 2025 after relocating from Florida. While I waited for my furniture to arrive, the team kindly put me up in a hotel, which made the transition so much easier. From day one, I was paired with a wonderful resident ambassador who showed me the ropes and helped me feel right at home. It didn’t take long for friends here to turn into family. Everyone is so welcoming and supportive. The medication techs are always attentive and make sure I receive my medicine on time, which gives me great peace of mind. The building is always spotless, and my room is kept clean and comfortable. I also really enjoy the daily exercise programs. They help me stay active and motivated each day. Arbor Terrace truly feels like home.

I'll start by saying we ultimately selected an alternative facility for a very specific reason - we needed a place that has assisted and memory care in addition to independent living, which Arbor Terrace does not offer independent living. On all other important factors, Arbor Terrace was an excellent option. The price is in line with other facilities in the area, the location is fairly new and very well maintained. The rooms are well-appointed; there are ample activities offered to residents. The staff is very kind and accommodating and the residents we interacted with all seemed quite content.

I have been living here at Arbor Terrace Morris Plains for the past 15 months has truly been a wonderful experience. From the very beginning, I felt welcomed not just as a resident, but as part of a vibrant and caring community. One of the things I value most is the meaningful friendships I’ve made here. There’s a genuine sense of connection among residents, and it doesn’t take long to feel like you belong. The social atmosphere is warm, engaging, and inclusive. A special thank you to Karen, Michael and the rest of the engagement for the incredible engagement they lead each day. Their energy, creativity, and dedication bring so much life to the community. Whether it’s events, activities, or simply taking the time to connect one-on-one, they make sure everyone feels involved and valued. What truly sets this community apart, though, is the deep connection with the staff. There is a sincere level of care here that goes beyond basic support. The staff members take the time to know us personally — our stories, our preferences, and our needs. That personal attention makes all the difference. The care provided is thoughtful, compassionate, and consistent. After 15 months, I can honestly say I feel supported, respected, and at home. I’m grateful every day for the friendships, the engagement, and the genuine kindness that surrounds me at Arbor Terrace Morris Plains.
