I just moved in May 7 and Everything was amazing the culinary director Tiffany made ribs with baked beans w/ hamburger meat and sweet corn THE meal was so delicious I called my sister and told the meals was very good! Kristy was very helpful and get the job done Amber was so sweet and helpful with the tour she answers all the questions. Makeba was so nice and explained activities I love bingo as well this was a great choice!

I moved my mom from another assisted living that was closing. Administrator Kristy was very supportive and welcoming with moving and settling my mom into American House Westland Joy. The staff are extremely supportive to both residents and family. I’ve observed the building and my mom’s room to be kept clean and maintained well. I’ve observed frequent offered activities, along with engagement and attentiveness by staff. Residents, including my mom, seem to enjoy living at American House Westland Joy.

The staff here, Kristy, Amber, Makeba and others work hard to make it feel like home. There's always something to do and someone to visit with. A quiet afternoon with a good book in your apartment is always an option too. I've been here almost 7 years...come and find out why.

The apartments were not updated.Management of the apartment itself is good,however, the Contracted-third-party medical team Influenced my decision-About this facility. They call themselves medical and there’s nothing medical about them. Very rude, not professional. If this facility contract with a new medical company, It would definitely be an upgrade. We Removed our family member immediately because of the medical team Not because of the Apartment unit. We found another location with real medical staffing. My family member/former tenant would push the call button and didn’t show up. I went to the medical office and observed them sitting around eating. One of them could have responded but chose not to. This happened a few times. Knowledgeable Medical staff is lacking at this facility. They have no knowledge with residence requiring CPAP care.. There were other issues with Other third-party company contracted with this facility. You’ve been warned.
