American House Westland Joy

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at American House Westland Joy! From the moment I arrived, Executive Director Kristy and Community Relations Director Amber made me feel welcomed and supported. Amber provided a fantastic tour, complete with a delicious lunch and entertainment that truly showcased the warm, vibrant atmosphere of the community. Makeba, the Activities and Volunteer Coordinator, shared the enriching and engaging programs she leads—her passion for the residents is truly inspiring. Aaron, the Maintenance Director, took the time to discuss apartment needs and the ways he can assist residents, which gave me great confidence in the level of care and support provided. Tiffany prepared an amazing meal that made the visit even more special. I also want to highlight Stephanie, whose exceptional work keeps the community extremely clean and welcoming. Her dedication to maintaining such a beautiful environment does not go unnoticed. Overall, it was a truly positive and uplifting experience. I look forward to working with this incredible team for my placement in the near future!

The staff here, Kristy, Amber, Makeba and others work hard to make it feel like home. There's always something to do and someone to visit with. A quiet afternoon with a good book in your apartment is always an option too. I've been here almost 7 years...come and find out why.

I cannot begin to explain how AMAZING everyone is, so let me start from the beginning. I received a tour from a nice pleasant woman named Gail. Gail gave me a beautiful in depth tour around American House, but in all honesty. She did more than that. Gail showed me what a future home for my mother looked liked and I am not disappointed 1 bit. Especially when the Executive Director Kristy and Sales Director Amber answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. They say a home is where the heart is and if it’s one thing about American House Westland Joy, that’s all they know. Especially the maintenance director Arron. He is so quick and efficient when it comes to handling the residents maintenance needs. As well as, taking the residents request as top priorities. The same goes for Kristy, Amber and even the life enrichment director Makeba. As I observed and watched Makeba in action on my tour, I saw nothing but smiling faces on the residents faces and that told me all I needed to know. This is the place for my mom and I can’t wait for her to move in. Last but not least, another thing that I really enjoyed about my tour was the FOOD!!! The culinary director Tiffany was so well diversified in cooking the gourmet meal that she prepared for us. The prince charles vegetables were well seasoned, along with the parmesan chicken. I don’t know what she put in it, but all I know is that I want some more.

I came in for a tour at American House & was greeted by smiles from residents & staff which made me feel right at home. This was my first time visiting communities as I was not ready to commit yet. Amber James gave me all the tools needed for decision making. The tour was great the community was clean & it was a great atmosphere. I would recommend the community to my family & friends. Amber was a terrific tour guide & very knowledgeable. She made my visit one to remember.
