The staff here, Kristy, Amber, Makeba and others work hard to make it feel like home. There's always something to do and someone to visit with. A quiet afternoon with a good book in your apartment is always an option too. I've been here almost 7 years...come and find out why.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at American House Westland Joy! From the moment I arrived, Executive Director Kristy and Community Relations Director Amber made me feel welcomed and supported. Amber provided a fantastic tour, complete with a delicious lunch and entertainment that truly showcased the warm, vibrant atmosphere of the community. Makeba, the Activities and Volunteer Coordinator, shared the enriching and engaging programs she leads—her passion for the residents is truly inspiring. Aaron, the Maintenance Director, took the time to discuss apartment needs and the ways he can assist residents, which gave me great confidence in the level of care and support provided. Tiffany prepared an amazing meal that made the visit even more special. I also want to highlight Stephanie, whose exceptional work keeps the community extremely clean and welcoming. Her dedication to maintaining such a beautiful environment does not go unnoticed. Overall, it was a truly positive and uplifting experience. I look forward to working with this incredible team for my placement in the near future!

My mother has lived here for three years and I must say I’ve had nothing but the best experience. My mother has made so many friends since her arrival. The staff at American House & The Medical Team feel like our family. Kristy and Amber have made many changes since their arrival and I see an improvement in the building as well as the happiness of the community. My mother absolutely enjoys all of the fun activities that Marie plans for them and loves going on little adventure adventures in the American House Bus. My wonderful Mother is a Finicky eater, but the culinary department is quick to meet her needs an offer Alternatives. Mom always raves about Jamie and says that he Make sure her room is nice and tidy. They have a therapy room upstairs, which was very convenient when Mom had a fall a few months ago, Also, when mom fell, we got to come across some angels in disguise on the second floor, The Medical Team Has been amazing there is somebody there from their care staff 24 hours a day, They were able to start my mom’s care the day that she arrived home from rehab no questions asked, Lisa and Kayla We’re very kind and helpful and made the process easy. Even though my mom is not receiving services Anymore all of the girls from the care team frequently stop in and check on her and give her hugs. Overall, I couldn’t be happier, If your loved one is in need of New family, Friends, And great care this is the place for them.

The staff is wonderful ! They really care for the residence. The Kitchen staff, front office staff and Medical team are kind and go out of their way to make life there fun and happy! Chef Tiffany cooks yummy pork chops with sweet potatoes, chicken fettuccine Alfredo, and many other dishes.
