We have been very pleased with the care my dad has received at American House, Fort Myers. The facility is clean, the meals are delicious and nutritious, and the staff is caring and attentive. There are many activities for the residents to participate in and the activities director and the aids frequently remind dad of activity times and locations so that he stays active. I’d like to give special thanks to Daisy who enthusiastically organized dad’s 100th birthday party at the facility.

One word…WOW! Such an amazing facility. From the food service, to the full gym, movie room, to activities, every corner of this building has high standards and attention to detail. The resort style outdoor area with a pool, garden, putting green, and more was one of my favorite areas. The only thing that topped the facility itself was the staff, they are AMAZING! The new director really cares about the workers and isn’t afraid to step in and help out along side them. Everyone has a bright and welcoming smile from the moment you walk in and make you feel like part of the family.

We are looking for an adult living community for our 94 year old mother. We toured American House in Fort Myers and were impressed with the community in every way. Terysa, the Relations Director, gave us the tour and suggested that we bring our mother back for lunch. We appreciated the offer and enjoyed the dining experience with her. They have a special area set up for families to visit and dine. The food we ordered was the meal available to every resident. There were many choices and everything we sampled was tasty. While we were there we met the activity director Daisy. She made us comfortable and made my mom feel welcome. They provide all the typical assistant living community amenities, including a pool with a walk in ramp, resident garden, and a sports area. Everything was tidy and well maintained. The ambiance reminded us of being in a resort. The most important part of the experience was the way we felt. Both times we were personally welcomed and could tell how much everyone we met loved being there. Not only did the residents say great things, the employees that we spoke with were genuinely glad to be working there. We looked at a few communities but American House was the best choice for us. We never felt pressured to commit and believe that our mom will love living there.
