Amber Lights

When looking for a place for my mother-in-law, what stood out most with Amber Lights was how the staff took the time to greet you with a smile and Hello. Our first interaction was with Kelly, he was so thorough about explaining how Amber Lights is set up, he showed the property with pride and explained what made Amber Lights different than other places. You move in and there is no need to move again when your level of care changes. He was clear about the financials and answered all our questions. He is like the social director, the residents all know him and joke with him. He is a bright light of the community that made us feel like this was the right place. The community itself is inviting, warm, and beautifully decorated. The resident apartments are thoughtfully designed, offering ample space for wheelchair mobility and enough room for residents to personalize and decorate their living spaces, making it feel like home. The health team lead by Sandy have all been so attentive and responsive to daily care questions. Amber Lights provides more than just care it offers a welcoming environment where they treated my MIL like family. We sincerely appreciate the support, compassion, and dedication shown to our loved one during her time there. So much so we are moving another family member in. We highly recommend Amber Lights.

My father has now lived at Amber Lights for 3 months. He arrived directly from a rehab center (where he was recovering from a fractured back). He simply was not ready to return home. At Amber Lights he has been supported at whatever level of care he has needed. Initially he needed a lot of help, now he needs very little. This has been perfect for him in his recovery. The staff has been incredible, many of them have worked there for over 15 years and you can tell that they genuinely love their jobs. When my father had a special day to commemorate, the staff went above and beyond. I had put in a request that they ask to the Chef to make his favorite peanut butter cookies, the picture is the fancy peanut butter dessert that Chef Jason made special just for my dad's special day. We are so happy to have found Amber Lights and truly feel blessed to have my dad in such a caring environment.

Our situation is different from most residents. I am the sole caregiver for my husband with Alzheimer’s. I was faced with a major surgery and at a loss how to proceed. A friend suggested respite care at Amber Lights. Kelly was amazing and found us a perfect apartment to meet our time frame. We moved in a week before my surgery so my hubs could meet his caregivers and get acclimated to the routine. I completed my hospital stay knowing he was safe and cared for. I am now back with him and recovering myself. Everyone here truly enjoys their interactions with all residents. While I am excited about returning home once I have all my strength back, I will be forever grateful for the exceptional gift Amber Lights has given us.

My wife’s parents recently moved into Amber Lights and immediately we could feel the tremendous sense of community throughout the property. We are so comforted knowing this was the perfect fit for them! We want to extend our gratitude to Kelly, Sandy, Rhonda, Mandy, TJ, Chip, Erica and Teya (Cricket) and the entire staff for the excellent service everyone provides every day to the residents!!! We are so happy to be apart of a special “family”!
