As the daughter of a resident at Alto Grayslake, I highly recommend this community. Making the decision for my dad to move into senior living was difficult, but the staff made the transition so much easier. The community is always clean, bright, and welcoming whenever I visit. It makes me so happy to see how engaged and happy my dad is with the many activities offered. He enjoys the social events, music, and exercise programs, and has made great friendships. He also really enjoys the food — meals are well prepared with good variety and presentation. A special thank you to the new resident ambassador, Kristine, for bringing such warmth and positivity to the community. She truly goes above and beyond to make residents feel welcome and included. I am grateful every day knowing my dad is safe, cared for, and happy at Alto Grayslake.

We have had such a wonderful experience with Alto Grayslake. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the positive energy and genuine care throughout the community. The activities calendar is impressive — there is always something engaging happening, whether it’s social events, games, music, outings, or wellness programs. Residents truly have opportunities to stay active, involved, and connected. The overall happiness factor is noticeable; you see smiles everywhere, and there’s a real sense of community. Cleanliness is clearly a top priority. The building is bright, well-maintained, and consistently spotless. It feels welcoming and comfortable without ever feeling clinical. The food has also been a highlight. Meals are thoughtfully prepared, nicely presented, and offer great variety. It’s clear that resident satisfaction is important in the dining experience. A special shout-out to the new resident ambassador, Kristine. She brings such warmth and enthusiasm to her role. Kristine goes out of her way to make residents feel included and valued, and her positive presence truly enhances the community. We are so grateful to be part of Alto Grayslake and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a vibrant, caring senior living environment.

This facility is absolutely amazing! It is so beautiful, clean and the staff is wonderful! From the second you walk in with Diane greeting you in her friendly, caring and compassionate ways (always see her talking to the residents), Notasha answering nursing questions, and Elizabeth who truly cares about everything going on in the building being involved and invested in everyone and everything, to the nurses and cnas, they really seem to get it. The food is great as well. They do a great job keeping the residents active with activities and you always see the residents hanging out and mingling with each other. Alto is definitely the next best option when home is not.

Alto Senior Living of Grayslake has been through several management changes over the years, and I can confidently say that the team under Alto Senior Living is truly the best it has ever been. This team approaches care with genuine compassion, confidence, and strong clinical knowledge. It’s clear that residents are not just being cared for—they are being cared about. Communication is thoughtful, leadership is present, and the overall culture feels stable, supportive, and resident-centered. As a senior care professional, I don’t say this lightly: the difference is noticeable, and it matters. Families can feel confident knowing their loved ones are in capable, caring hands here.
