ActivCare Rolling Hills Ranch

As the daughter of a recent resident, I cannot say enough wonderful things about ActivCare at Rolling Hills Ranch in Eastlake. My mom spent approximately three months at ActivCare after suffering a stroke, during an incredibly difficult and uncertain time for our family. From the moment she arrived, she was treated with nothing but love, respect, compassion, and exceptional care. ActivCare is an outstanding facility, with a staff who cares deeply about their residents and their well-being. The staff took the time to understand my mom as an individual; her personality, her needs, what made her comfortable, and the level of support she needed at that particular point in her recovery. They were consistently professional, loving, patient, attentive, and kind. I always felt that they were looking out for her best interests and were on top of her needs. I was very close to my mom's care throughout her time at ActivCare and visited frequently. The team was always incredibly welcoming and considerate toward me as well. They encouraged me to spend as much time with my mom as I wanted, to take her outside, and simply to be with her. Just as importantly, they supported me as her daughter as I navigated some very difficult decisions about her care. Having a team I could trust during that period gave me tremendous peace of mind. There are so many wonderful people who deserve recognition. Bee Bee was incredibly special to my mom and our family, and I am so grateful for the love and care she showed her. Sofia was also wonderful, as were the nursing staff, including Nika, Christina and Karen. And Kim and Bianca and others at the front desk always greeted us with such warmth and kindness. Together, they helped make my mom's experience feel less like being in a facility and much more like being in a home at a time when she couldn't be in her own. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches ActivCare provided to help residents maintain a sense of normalcy and dignity. Even things such as having salon services available for hair and nails made a difference. It gave my mom opportunities to feel cared for, look good, and feel good about herself during her stay. My mom has since moved out of ActivCare, but for a very positive reason: she has progressed to the point that she no longer requires memory care and has transitioned to an assisted living community that better matches her current needs. Her move in no way diminishes how grateful I am for the care she received at ActivCare. In fact, ActivCare was exactly what she needed during that chapter of her recovery, and I will always be thankful that she was surrounded by people who cared for her so genuinely when she needed it most. When you are making care decisions for a parent, you are entrusting other people with someone you love deeply. I never took that responsibility lightly. At ActivCare, I felt that my mom was known, valued, respected, protected, and cared for as a person, not simply as a patient/resident. To the entire ActivCare Rolling Hills team: thank you for loving and caring for my mom during a very difficult time in our lives, and for treating my mom and my entire family (who visited often), with such kindness and compassion. I will always be grateful for what you did for her and for our family. I would wholeheartedly recommend ActivCare Rolling Hills to families looking for a compassionate, professional, and truly caring memory care community for someone they love.

I placed my brother at ActivCare Rolling Hills when I could no longer care for him. I looked at other places that were very nice, but several things stood out here. For one, Ken was a very active person who liked to walk and be outside. There is a huge city park right next door and ActivCare had daily walks and picnics over there. Everyone enjoyed nature and being outside, and that mitigates the feelings of being dependent or locked up. The staff worked to give him as much free reign to exercise as possible without letting him loose to wander away. Some facilities had nice amenities, but those were only available to residents who were completely cognizant. Those with dementia could rarely if ever access them. This facility, inside and outside, is completely open to all residents. Some facilities I visited seemed to 'babysit' the residents such as offering a movie for the afternoon. ActivCare has one interesting activity after another all day long with visiting outside singers and entertainment, fun parties, games, discussions and fun classes. Ken was constantly sought out to come join in if he was in his room, and he usually did. That kept him busy, entertained, social, and involved. I cannot say enough kind words about the staff. Each one was kind, caring, endlessly patient, and always responsive to residents' needs, wants, and concerns. When Ken's health failed, they shed tears of compassion with us. He really got the best care possible and I am forever grateful, particularly to management who set the tone, attitude, and standards that were exemplified in every employee in every position. When Ken passed on, they were as helpful to our family as possible and gave us all the time we needed to deal with belongings and grief. They were always communicative and kept us apprised of any concerns or changes in health. I cannot recommend or thank them enough.

There are so many choices when you are researching memory care options for your loved one. We've tried others but finally found ActivCare Rolling Hills Ranch for our mother. They have 100% of their focus on memory care. Their care is all inclusive with personalized care plans. I can not say enough great things about how all the staff is so caring and attentive. I have lived local and out of state and I know my mother is getting the best care possible every day. She is happy, active and safe. Thank you ActivCare for easing an overwhelming decision and following through every day!

My mom had dementia and was no longer able to live with me due to her declining condition and my need to be at work to support my family. She lived at ActiveCare for a bit over 3 years and was so happy and well taken care of there. I cannot say enough positive things about Sophia, Bebe and the whole care team there. The staff was always compassionate and was very good about keeping me in the loop of any changes that were occurring with my mom. Having her there allowed me to feel comfortable and visit without any stress. I was able to take her for walks at the park right next door every week and spend time with her in and outside of the center. I feel confident that she was in a good place. The care level was catered to her needs and expanded as her dementia symptoms increased. I am forever grateful that I found this home for her. Thank you!
