We visited 15-20 retirement communities in CA, IL and CO before choosing Aberdeen Ridge. It had a great feel about it compared to everything we saw, and it was a good value. Everyone here - residents and staff - are super friendly and helpful. We've been here for eight months now, and are active in committees, activities, and every day life. The food is very good here. The current executive chef understands flavor profiles and infuses them in all aspects of our meals. As with any restaurant, there's always the occasional item that doesn't please everyone. With the variety of palates in the community, it's not easy to please everyone. The staff is accommodating in trying to fix an issue or provide a substitute if a certain item is not pleasing to someone's palate.

Aberdeen Ridge is a beautiful facility and when the time is right for us, we could easily make the transition to independent living there. As health care costs are a major concern for most seniors, Aberdeen Ridge provides peace of mind for residents with their health care plans. The staff members we met with could not have been nicer.

I visited Aberdeen Ridge to check it out as a possibility for my in-laws in the near future. I was extremely impressed with the facilities. The place is beautiful! My husband and I decided that when the time comes for us to downsize one more time, we would seriously consider Aberdeen Ridge. I can’t speak about the care or the food, but the residents we ran into on our tour seemed very happy and friendly with the staff. Definitely worth looking into for yourself or loved ones.

Premium Price for Frozen, Low-Quality Food It is mind-boggling that residents have to shell out a half-million dollars buy-in just to live here, pay a hefty monthly fee for the meal plan, and then get served food this bad. They advertise "homemade" hamburger, but what you actually get is a dried-out, rubbery Salisbury steak that tastes like a frozen hockey puck straight from a Sysco truck. To top it off, it didn't even come with mushroom gravy—isn't that the whole point of Salisbury steak? For the astronomical amount of money people pay to live here, the dining experience should be top-tier, not cheap, mass-produced convenience food. Incredibly disappointing.
