As primary caregiver for my aunt we entrusted Westport Place Healthcare after a health issue. We arrived at the facility welcomed with a heavy smell of urine, her bed linens had holes in them the size of hockey pucks, her room had multiple holes in the wall, her bathroom was unable to be used and she had to use the neighbors, they forgot her food the first evening and it took me 1 hour to find someone who knew where the pillowcases were. According to staff, they do not lock the front doors and anyone off the street could walk in at any time. We stayed one night; it was the worst night of her life. The next morning, she couldn't wait to transfer to a facility downtown on Oak Street. You should definitely check this place before you trust your love one's care to them!

The social services was horrible. Melissa made me do HER work by doing all the appeals, ordering oxygen,ordering beds, ordering transportation. Then I overheard her complaining about all the insurance. That's her job!!! Then on discharge day not giving discharge papers or oxygen tan k s on a Friday holiday, my MOM on oxygen was sitting on curb with no place to go because of NO discharge papers!!

When my friend was sent to Westport for rehab I was so glad to personally see the care she was given. The staff were so friendly and genuinely cared about her. They checked on her often even if she didn’t call them. The food was top notch. They even had a salad bar that beat cattleman’s. They made sure all medications and physical therapy was done in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this facility for any of my friends or loved ones.

Had my 87 year old client there for rehab, my clients blood pressure went low and the nursing staff used poor judgement in her care. They acted has if she was faking it! BP was 77/48 and they just left the room leaving me to attend to her. Had to call family and send her to hospital. Westport place has a good rehab program but they disappointed us this time. It s like they had a overload for therpy and would get my client up at 7am and straight to rehab....it was a sad situation for her.
