I am sharing my views on New Perspective through the eyes of my family members. When looking at moving in, you are met with the fakest individual in the Sales Department her name is Chris(not sue if that is correct spelling). The reason I say this is because everything she promises is a LIE! the food is horrible, they never get what is listed on the menu, the residents in memory care get any leftovers from the fridge, etc. She also promises housekeeping services- that never happens it always smells like urine in Betty Harbor, our families rooms are always dirty, feces stains on the floor, shades and curtains hanging off the windows. She promises staff are available 24/7, well I would like to see that one day when I visit as that is a very rare occasion. Once you move into the community she drops you like a fly and never hear from her again, unless you stop by her office to be greeted with the fake smile. There has been such turnover in not just the care staff but in the management team, and I cannot say that in a good way. There was a Business Office named Melissa that was so easy to work with regarding the billing process, but they could not keep her. They had a new one but did not even get to know her name before she flew the coop. There is a new Director again 2 in the last 6 months, not saying that is a good thing either as he only talks in circles, never available, never answers the phone even after hours. Is that not what he gets paid for is to be available for emergencies, concerns, etc. One new addition that I can say is GREAT is Mia, in the activity department. You never see her without a smile, hello or even a conversation. Hope they can keep her around. I do understand that their main office is in Minneapolis, hopefully they see this review and make the necessary changes to the community, as of right now I would not recommend anyone to move into New Perspective. Maybe they need to pay their care staff better so they can get reliable dependable and well trained staff to care for our families.

My 88 year old mother absolutely loves living at New Perspective! She lives in a large studio apartment with high ceilings and a balcony. The facility is clean feels like a high end hotel when you walk in. The food is great, there are daily activities, an indoor pool and even a lounge. she has talked to several people who checked out similar facilities and all said New Perspective was the best. We are lucky to have my mom there.

My Mother recently experienced some health issues and needed a safe place to live where she could receive assistance with day-to-day living. We toured New Perspective and Mom said she felt like she was home! Kris & Sharon have been nothing short of amazing to work with! They were flexible with move-in dates, and helped expedite medical assessments and paperwork when needed. Mom enjoys the comradery and busy activity schedule. New Perspective has an Ambassador program and pairs new tenants up with seasoned residents to help them " learn the ropes". There is constantly something to do!! Mom is also impressed with the food AND the wait staff in the dining hall. She hasn't been long, but hasn't been served anything from the menu she didn't like! Overall, New Perspective gets an A+
