Vitality Living Hudson is a beautiful place to live in your senior years. The staff is attentive and always helpful, going above and beyond much of the time, especially Bernice, the Wellness Director. The dining room is pretty, and the meals are very nice. There is a very real sense of community among the residents and the staff making life there very enjoyable. I highly recommend Vitality Living Hudson for anyone seeking either independent or assisted living. This facility, and its staff, truly deserve a 5-star rating.

Bernice Silvo is an exceptional Wellness Director at Vitality Senior Living in Hudson. Her compassion, professionalism, and genuine commitment to residents’ well‑being are evident every single day. She takes the time to truly know each resident, listens carefully to families, and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure everyone feels supported and cared for. Bernice sets the tone for excellence within the community. Her leadership is compassionate, steady, and always resident‑focused. She fosters a culture where residents feel valued and staff feel supported, creating a calm, organized, and uplifting environment. It’s rare to find someone who combines strong clinical knowledge with such genuine warmth. Bernice truly elevates the entire community, and Vitality is fortunate to have her

When I first toured Vitality Living Hudson, I was convinced I had found the right place for my mother. The facility is beautiful, welcoming, and the staff I met seemed caring, professional, and genuinely invested in residents. I left feeling relieved and hopeful during an incredibly stressful time. Unfortunately, everything fell apart after I paid the deposit. Communication became nearly nonexistent. Days would go by without updates, and the assessment I was told would take place never happened. Instead, the assessor, Bernice, apparently contacted my mother’s rehabilitation facility and asked the social worker for her cognitive score. According to the social worker, when she provided the information, Bernice’s response was simply that my mother “seemed like a better fit for Memory Care.” What makes this especially frustrating is that the rehab social worker specifically stated that my mother was relatively independent, was not a flight risk, did not require personal care assistance, and primarily needed medication management. No one from Vitality ever called me to discuss concerns, ask questions, or explain, or even tell me their decision! In fact, I learned that my mother had been declined only when the rehab social worker called to provide my mother’s discharge date and asked where she should be discharged. When I explained that I was waiting for Vitality Hudson to complete its assessment, she informed me that Vitality had already declined my mother. Imagine the panic and anxiety of learning, from a third party, that I needed to start the entire assisted living search over again—from 1,500 miles away—with only one week’s notice before my mother’s discharge. I immediately left a voicemail for Kyle, the sales representative I had been working with. Throughout the process, he seemed kind, responsive, and competent. However, four days have passed since that message, and I still have not heard from anyone at Vitality. What saddens me most is not that Vitality determined they were not the right fit for my mother. That is their decision to make. What is disappointing is the complete lack of communication, follow-through, and basic courtesy during an already difficult family situation. If someone as persistent and organized as I am can fall through the cracks, I worry about what might happen to a vulnerable loved one in their care. Sometimes blessings come in unexpected ways.

If your reading this review it maybe be because a loved one is needed a place for care or independent living. I will say my mother has been in 3 different Alf's over the years and by far this is the best in terms of Care, Space, Food Activites, and Price. Vitality Hudson is a fantastic facility. My Mother loves it and really like the community of residents. I will start with Dan the Director who is present and answers questions and resolves problems that may arise. This is very important. The dining room Manager Crystal is fantastic and insures everyone is happy which is a difficult task these days. The activities are amazing with 4 activity personally. Front desk is great they are not rude and very helpful. The pick up area is large and covered another plus. The building has a generator so residents can stay in their rooms and that is a huge deal for a senior to stay in their room and not worry about power outage. Most importantly is the nurse director Bernice and her asst Lisa both been there many years one even 20. The place has great staff managed very well. My mom's team of care are all excellent and she has never waited for anything. Please be sure to meet with Sharon their property consultant she is great and is very patient. The only regret my Mom has had is she wish she moved sooner!
