Vitality Living Hudson

Look no further, Vitality Living in Hudson is the best there is out there! Nineteen years ago, I needed to find a place for my mother-in-law to live. We found Vitality (called Atria at the time) and there was no looking back! Since then, my aunt called it home for 5 years, then my father for another 5 years, and now my brother has a lovely one-bedroom apartment that he's calling home!  When we realized that my brother needed assistance, I volunteered to check out Vitality to see if it was still as wonderful as we remembered. Not only was it just as beautiful as ever, it was like I was coming home for a visit! Several people who were there all those years ago were still there! When Bernice (the Director of Wellness) saw me unexpectedly come into the building it was like old homes week! Hugs and good wishes all around... even though I hadn't been there in 6 years! When I got off the elevator I ran into Annie, one of my father's caregivers, and she recognized me immediately and gave me a big hello. It speaks volumes that the staff is still there, helping people navigate a new living experience with comfort and grace. Bernice is an amazing presence at Vitality, and is endlessly kind, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and helpful with whatever your needs may be. There have been some wonderful upgrades to the facility since my last visit, so I have to say that it's actually better than ever. Clean, beautifully appointed common spaces, spacious rooms, and a beautiful dining room serving delicious, well-balanced meals. You are family when you're at Vitality Living in Hudson. As I said... look no further!

If your reading this review it maybe be because a loved one is needed a place for care or independent living. I will say my mother has been in 3 different Alf's over the years and by far this is the best in terms of Care, Space, Food Activites, and Price. Vitality Hudson is a fantastic facility. My Mother loves it and really like the community of residents. I will start with Dan the Director who is present and answers questions and resolves problems that may arise. This is very important. The dining room Manager Crystal is fantastic and insures everyone is happy which is a difficult task these days. The activities are amazing with 4 activity personally. Front desk is great they are not rude and very helpful. The pick up area is large and covered another plus. The building has a generator so residents can stay in their rooms and that is a huge deal for a senior to stay in their room and not worry about power outage. Most importantly is the nurse director Bernice and her asst Lisa both been there many years one even 20. The place has great staff managed very well. My mom's team of care are all excellent and she has never waited for anything. Please be sure to meet with Sharon their property consultant she is great and is very patient. The only regret my Mom has had is she wish she moved sooner!

Over the last twenty-five years my wife and I have placed two residents here. My mother in 2000, and more recently, a friend without family. My mother (78) has passed, but she loved the staff and privacy of her apartment. Our friend has lived there several years, but just moved because of the need for intense care. She enjoyed living there; very fond the attention and services the staff provided. From my point of view, (that of responsible party) a better management team (Bernice) could not be found, They were always available and happy to assist. Their concern for the resident showed in the solutions offered. Cannot say enough of how much they went above and beyond. A caring staff, bright and cheery surroundings, off the menu restaurant style food (served at the table or in your room), secure, clean, facility with multiple "mingle" opportunities and events, this is a great place. Highly Recommend.

Vitality was home for my husband David for 3.5 years. His apartment was lovely. It was a deluxe 1 bedroom over looking a pond with a variety of birds. How we enjoyed watching them. Even though the facility is beautiful, it is the staff that makes it such a wonderful place to live. There are too many wonderful workers to list but each one made David feel special. As his health declined they took such good care of him. In his last days, they provided him with hourly care . I could not have asked for better care or compassion. They fulfilled my greatest desire for him to be treated with such love and caring.
