For months I visited many assisted living facilities in an attempt to find just the right place for my brother. I wasn’t happy with any of them. A friend told me about Vitality Senior Living. I immediately called and arranged a tour. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I knew this was the right place for him. I was greeted with a warm and friendly hello and then given a tour. I was very impressed with all of the activities they had for residents. Things got even better as I was invited to lunch to sample the food, it was delicious! Vitality Senior Living has been the absolute best placement for my brother. It’s like living in a fancy little hotel. The food is delicious; the facility is spick and span clean and the best part is that all of the people who work at Vitality are kind and caring. Each staff member treats residents like a member of their own family. I couldn’t be happier with Vitality Senior Living and neither could my brother. I’m so grateful for the excellent care he receives.

Visiting and watching out for my in-law, a CAREGIVER named BROOKE was alerted to do a diaper change and suggested that I as a visitor, needed my help and asked what do I want to do? . This was the second time, first time I didn't know so I helped out because it's my family. I called my in-law to get advice and clarity and BROOKE left the room. I went to go ask her for her name and she refused and said her name was on a list. She then falsely accused me of mistreating her just because I didn't know what her job was. She went to complain about it as damage control and the DIRECTOR AN OLD LADY came down accusing me of "HAVING A PROBLEM WITH HER STAFF." ...The OLD LADY DIRECTOR never asked what happened, just automatically accused me ...so BROOKE was trusted over the patients family without question... The OLD LADY DIRECTOR ASKED ME FOR CREDENTIALS (LICENSE )THAT I DONT NEED. (She thought I was a worker) Soon another woman from HR came down and said I CANNOT BE IN THE ROOM WITH MY FAMILY while BROOKE changed her diaper. I simple said ok. BROOKE then came back to change the diaper with the HOUSEKEEPER. (((LICENSE TO ASSIST ??????))) The waiters don't assist in diaper changes, so how did the housekeeper (male) get to change my in-laws diaper????? BROOKE HAS GIVEN MY IN-LAW A NASTY ATTITUDE AND SAID SHE HAS OTHERS TO DEAL WITH AND NEEDS TO DO HER JOB FAST.

I managed the transition of an elderly neighbor into Vitality in August 2024, and our experience from the start has been excellent. I toured multiple facilities in DC and Northern VA before choosing Vitality, where I was drawn to the clean and updated facility, the responsive staff, and the supportive community. Excellent operations truly start from the top down, and it's clear from the leadership team that this place is a cut above. I am reassured by the direct contact that I've had with multiple members of the leadership team (Avanel, Sarah, Hector, Levan, Brian), and how friendly and approachable they are. It's clear that they take the needs of their residents seriously and are committed to creating a safe and responsive environment. The nursing staff, activities coordinators, and dining room attendants have all been wonderful and professional. My neighbor initially started in Assisted Living, and transitioned to Memory Care after it became clear that his dementia meant that he needed more assistance. Both experiences have been great overall. Nothing is perfect when it comes to aging, but Vitality comes close - and I am grateful for how they've accommodated my neighbors specific needs amidst their larger program.

Although I have only worked at Vitality Arlington for a few months, I have found it to be a wonderful workplace and lovely assisted living community. From day one, everyone was welcoming and patient as I settled into my role. I look forward to coming to work every day because I get to work alongside kind and compassionate coworkers and interact with the sweetest residents. Each day, I am shown examples of our staff doing all that they can to make the residents happy and comfortable, meeting them exactly where they are at that time. It’s been immensely rewarding to contribute to this caring community and to make even the smallest positive impact on our residents’ lives. I cannot stress enough how wonderful our residents are! I’m constantly learning from their rich experiences, which in turn enriches my own perspective on life. Engaging with them daily is the highlight of my job. Whether you’re seeking a career or a new home for a loved one, Vitality Arlington is an exceptional place to find both.
