Finding the right home for my dad was a big decision, and I’m so grateful we found this place. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how clean, welcoming, and well-maintained everything was. The grounds are beautiful, the common areas are spotless, and the apartments feel like home. What truly sets this community apart is the staff. Every person we’ve interacted with has been kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. They treat my dad with respect and compassion, and it’s clear they love what they do. It gives me so much peace of mind to know he’s in such good hands. Cant wait for home to move in. Thanks so much Meghan & Carol!

Walked right in felt it was right place foe my parents. They had visited earlier and loved it. Very happy and comforted #1 daughter. Update!! All these years my parents have been happy and healthy! Bravo to staff . Hats off to service staff. Kudos to chef! Your shrimp and grits rocked today! As all your food does. You are appreciated.

Elevator has not passed inspection in years ,frequently breaks down ,mold throughout , carpets are disgustingly dirty ,feces and urine in laundry rooms so bad . Very unsanitary windows you can barely see out of. Private equity and banks take orofits and switch owners frequently while not doing proper maintenance . Incentives for management to not spend their budgets . The only good thing there is the current chef and a couple employees . Do not send anyone you care about here . I cant recall wether they made me sign a non disclosure or not but i left in frustration and disgust. And let them sue me . Not one thing ive said is untrue or misleading . Im in a position to expose this with out fear of the consequences . Others maybe similar in profit driven attitudes but this is by far the worse ive personally seen .btw. i also have the credentials to go toe to toe with any officual that would like to dispute my claims . Stay far away or go in full decon suits . Show up st six am to visut a guest and walk through the halls ,basement floor especially . Take a deep breath . Gross

I can not recommend The Virginian to anyone who is looking for Independent Living for their family member. Issues with non working fire alarms, dining/kitchen has been cited for multiple violations. The food is horrible, not nutricious, not served warm and lack of dining staff to serve. Meat is too tough for seniors to chew. The chef doesn’t even show up sometimes and they just order pizza. The management staff has turned over in the months my Father has been there. There has been a robbery from a resident‘s room that was posted on the Chesterfield County Police site and I’m not sure the person was ever arrested. The front desk is not staffed many times and anyone could walk in. Covid protocols are not enforced when a resident has Covid or has been exposed to Covid. They have many residents that should be in care facilities that offer more care or even memory care. Most people there are not what I would call independent. Unfortunately Independent Living facilities are not locally or state regulated. If so The Virginian would be shut down in my opinion.
