Walked right in felt it was right place foe my parents. They had visited earlier and loved it. Very happy and comforted #1 daughter. Update!! All these years my parents have been happy and healthy! Bravo to staff . Hats off to service staff. Kudos to chef! Your shrimp and grits rocked today! As all your food does. You are appreciated.

Finding the right home for my dad was a big decision, and I’m so grateful we found this place. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how clean, welcoming, and well-maintained everything was. The grounds are beautiful, the common areas are spotless, and the apartments feel like home. What truly sets this community apart is the staff. Every person we’ve interacted with has been kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. They treat my dad with respect and compassion, and it’s clear they love what they do. It gives me so much peace of mind to know he’s in such good hands. Cant wait for home to move in. Thanks so much Meghan & Carol!

I can not recommend The Virginian to anyone who is looking for Independent Living for their family member. Issues with non working fire alarms, dining/kitchen has been cited for multiple violations. The food is horrible, not nutricious, not served warm and lack of dining staff to serve. Meat is too tough for seniors to chew. The chef doesn’t even show up sometimes and they just order pizza. The management staff has turned over in the months my Father has been there. There has been a robbery from a resident‘s room that was posted on the Chesterfield County Police site and I’m not sure the person was ever arrested. The front desk is not staffed many times and anyone could walk in. Covid protocols are not enforced when a resident has Covid or has been exposed to Covid. They have many residents that should be in care facilities that offer more care or even memory care. Most people there are not what I would call independent. Unfortunately Independent Living facilities are not locally or state regulated. If so The Virginian would be shut down in my opinion.

What a great experience!! My mother-in-law and I toured this beautiful community today and was throughly impressed by the amenities, accommodating employees, and the newly renovated property. Ronnie, member of the sales team, was very helpful as we toured the community while generously offering an abundant lunch in the spacious dining room. Because the tour was spontaneous, I was so touched by the loving interactions I observed between the employees and residents. What I saw was authentic and so genuine ♥️ Mary and Jenn are the best! We look forward to making a decision based on all the positives we experienced today!! Kudos!
