Amazing place. My mom moved in about two months ago to an independent living apartment. Everyone, staff and residents, have been so helpful and positive. So many people have reached out to help my mom and make her feel like a part of a wonderful community. The food is amazing. There is a coffee station with fruit, pastries, delicious cookies available between meals. So many activities to participate in including exercise classes. My mom enjoyed the live music the other day. Monarch butterfly garden, library next to the garden, on site hair salon. Everything, including the apartments, all on one level which is great. So easy to get everywhere. Beautiful place, lots of sunlight and green. I am so happy that she is there.

Words can barely express my love and gratitude for the administration and staff at the Village on the Park-Onion Creek. Every single staff member embodies true care and concern for the residents. I moved my mother to Austin and to the Village during the pandemic in 2020. They immediately became our trusted family. My mother spent six great years there first in an Independent Living apartment and then in an Assisted Living apartment. She enjoyed the clean facilities, the amenities, the delicious food, and the fun and creative activities and celebrations (her favorites being Bingo, the music and the sing-alongs). She absolutely thrived there and made many friends. At every step in her retirement journey at VOP, the staff were there for her (and for me) and went above and beyond in care and service. They are truly dedicated to their mission. I am forever grateful that I chose this amazing facility and these amazing people to care for my mother.

Life at Onion Creek When a loved one passes or we can no longer maintain a home, the best recourse is to find a place where we can have a useful quality of life. The choices of places are numerous, but we need a place that will keep us healthy and happy. The Village on the Park provides a myriad of activities and amenities to meet our needs. Some are: Bingo, Canaster, Bridge, Card games, Physical exercises, Rummikub, Community singing, Creative writing, Shuffle board, Life enrichment, Poker and Billiards. Services include: Transportation, Housekeeping, Maintenance repair, Television, Electricity, Home health, Private caregivers, Laundry room, Daily Newspapers, Parking, Pets, Trash pickup, Parking, Fitness center, Salon and Barber services. The physical layout of the facility includes: one floor level, an outdoor patio, Two access doors, one story level, a large community living room. Separate cottages. Each apartment, (1 or 2 carpeted bedrooms, living room, kitchen area, with appliances, large bathroom, very large closet.) The dining room is very large with an experienced, friendly staff. The food is excellent and if you order from the daily menu and do not like what was ordered, you can request a re-order. The dining room's ambiance is inviting. Breakfast and lunchtime has place mats on the tables, but linen napkins and table cloths at dinner time. Village on the Park allows us to have good friends and neighbors. All who live here, consider the facility "Our Forever home." Dr. Teddy

My 91-year-old mother has moderate dementia and has been in assisted living at Village on the Park Onion Creek for over three years and we have been very pleased with this community. From our experience the employees from management, marketing, nurses, front office, maintenance to food service are skilled, friendly, helpful and caring. Her room and laundry are cleaned weekly, and the staff remind her about activities and mealtimes. The onsite hairdresser is convenient and does a great job on my mom's hair! She enjoys Bingo, doing chair exercises and attending musical entertainment. The community is very clean, and they keep on top of maintenance. Mother especially enjoys using the wide and long hallways with handrails to walk in comfort throughout the year. There are lots of windows in the community where the flowering landscape is beautiful for her to see. Village on the Park Onion Creek has provided a safe, friendly, enjoyable and caring place for her to live at this point in her life's journey.
