We are in the process of looking at assisted living options for my sister. This property was highly recommended, so we stopped by this week. Everyone we dealt with was wonderful and so pleasant. We received lots of great information about this property. I would like to especially thank Alyssa Fernandez. She was just awesome. She answered all of our questions and never rushed us or made us feel hurried. Alyssa took us on a wonderful tour, showing us the dining areas, PT room, hair salon and the beautiful courtyard (with a fountain and putting green) and she introduced us to other staff members. She was also able to show us one of the rooms that would work for my sister’s needs and it opened directly onto the lovely courtyard. We left feeling very informed and grateful for her generous help. If you are looking for assisted living or memory care, I would highly recommend stopping in at Village on the Parkway in McKinney and visiting with Alyssa.

After 2 unpleasant moves, we found Village on the Park McKinney, and the first impression has been a lasting impression since moving here. We found the staff to be very accommodating and friendly. Some of the Directors are new and very anxious to be successful in their roles. They are working on improving their food menus and I have great hopes. We love their courtyard with the putting green. Overall we love living here!

Alyssa Fernandez introduced me to Village on the Park. From the moment I walked in I felt at home. I was greeted by name. The entire facility was beautifully designed and filled with light. The staff in memory care were warmly attending to residents. They had lovely enhancements such as "work stations" where a resident could stop and handle tools, or laundry, etc. They had many activities and the meals looked yummy. Unfortunately, this location was a little too far from my home, but it was certainly welcoming.

My experience here has been excellent. The people are wonderful, friendly, and caring. I really feel comfortable and enjoy all the folks here At Village on the park, I was especially taken by Alyssa who talked to me via a telephone on my original contact and what they could do here at Village on the park and then when we got here the wonderful way they prepared my room and the food was excellent. I know a way I could explain it, but the maids that came to my room, the young ladies and young men are very attentive that helped me in many ways with my shoulder brace from the operation again one day from my operation in Michigan they really helped me tremendously. The meals were very good in the beginning, but they have slipped a little during the time I’ve been here and I’ll probably leave that for later, but that’s the only complaint I might have the food could be more up to bar and I’m not sure why Mr. Mohhamed the Director is very friendly and I’m glad to talk to him and I believe he listens to anyone that gives him advice or as a complaint that is excellent. I am very taken with Amy who is the treasurer and explains all the charges that we have I’ve never had a problem with that. I just really do understand it all now the social people are fantastic. The home I was in before there was nothing, and these people are amazing and the way they tried to dream of things for the occupants to do. The exercise classes were excellent that kinda helped me with the recovery of my arm, which I did my own operate on exercises I mean in my room and like complemented me and so I would come every day for that exercise plan the social activity review. I really enjoyed the going out to eat and I wish there were more museums and maybe musical programs we could go to it’s wonderful that they’re bringing artist in Building, but somehow I like to go to a concert or something like that John was extremely helpful. In fact Hattie, who I was giving me my showers. They were cold and she noticed that the faucet was not going far enough and John came in and fixed that immediately and the temperature was up at 104 or I think it was way below 90 before he fixed the shower I didn’t mind taking cool showers but Addie thought it should be fixed. That’s Hattie HADDYZ also really gotta say how much Diane the other helper with my shower and both had and Diane and done tremendous job on my laundry and helping it with all that Joe and Jandell are excellent social leaders. I wish I had had them before the other place they are fantastic. I’m doing a tremendous job. It’s very hard with many people the residence. I can see but I sure enjoyed them. You guys do a fantastic job as a team here and I welcome them every time I see them as I said the food is somewhat. I don’t know it seems to have gotten the chicken is high never take because it’s so dry and no juice. No I think it’s overcooked. It would be better if there were chicken breast or chicken leg and I know what the other place I was in Michigan they seem to be able to get them quite cheaply cooked properly. They were fantastic. Some of the dishes are weird. I don’t think I think they have to be plain and ordinary, but the soup is generally fantastic. I enjoy the soups that are made. The salads are fantastic since I’m diabetic. I sometimes substitute a salad with ham and cheese to because there’s too many carbs and sugar in the meals would love more vegetables, but there’s only one with a meal and I try to get more of that veggie vegetable veggies I guess I’ve really gone on here. I’ll leave it now. I’ll see if there are a specific question and answer them. Thanks very much and you really have a fantastic place here.
