Valley VNA Senior Care Reviews

My mom was a recent resident of Valley VNA Senior Care and she received the most wonderful care from the staff. As an only child living out of state, I respected my mom's wishes to stay in the area when it was time for her to transition to assisted living in the memory care unit. I was so blessed to have found Valley VNA. From day one, they made my mom (and myself) feel like we were part of a family! I could call the Shift Manager at any time to ask questions or to simply check in and see how she was doing. The RN's always kept me updated on her care. I loved walking into Emerald and seeing how the staff engaged with the residents. Either sitting quietly with them, or coloring with them or simply giving them a hug whenever they were having a bad day. Other days were lively with music with Christy or fun activities with Jessica. I cannot speak highly enough of this staff. Everyone from housekeeping, to maintenance, to kitchen, care givers and Administration. Each and every one of them make Valley VNA Senior Care a very special place. After every visit with my mom, it was incredibly hard to leave her but they gave me peace of mind knowing that she was cared for in a loving way. For that, I cannot thank them enough.

I would STRONGLY caution anyone considering employment with Valley VNA Senior Care to carefully evaluate their expectations, particularly regarding communication and transparency. In my previous experiences, the company falls far short when it comes to effective and timely communication. Interactions with the HR/ management team were especially frustrating, as responses were often delayed, unclear, or inconsistent. This made what should be a straightforward hiring process feel unnecessarily difficult and disorganized. If communication is this poor during the hiring process, it raises serious concerns about how communication is handled in more critical situations. It is concerning to consider how delays or lack of clarity might impact families/ care teams who rely on timely updates about their residents, especially when those updates are essential. Additionally, the advertised wage range of $17–$21 per hour does not appear to reflect actual hiring practices. During the negotiation process, it became clear that compensation above $18 was not realistically considered, regardless of experience or qualifications. This creates a misleading impression for applicants who expect fair consideration based on their background. Overall, the lack of transparency and poor communication significantly impacted my perception of the organization. I hope the company takes steps to improve these areas, as they are critical to attracting and retaining qualified professionals.

I became a volunteer at the VNA in 2017 and fell in love with the staff and residents from the first day. I have the same love and admiration for them to this day!

My grandma was a recent resident of the Valley VNA. I cannot put into words how incredibly thankful we are for the care she received. The staff at the Valley VNA treated my grandma with such compassion and really made her feel like family. The staff is extremely well trained and was prepared for every situation that arose as my grandma’s needs changed. The relationship the administration and staff built with my family was amazing as well. As a visitor of the VNA, I could see the love each staff member has within the VNA… from the young kids in the kitchen, to the absolutely amazing nurses, right up to the administration and management. The teamwork between all team members was very obvious as well. The comfort we felt with my grandma residing at the VNA was a great feeling. I would recommend this care center to everyone. Thank you to everyone at the Valley VNA!
