Trustwell Living at Oakley Place

We had to move my mother and father-in-law into Oakley Place as “emergency move-ins” from a different state. The management team was very understanding, concerned for our family and very helpful. The process went much more smoothly than I expected. My in-laws did not want to leave their home. Now my mother-in-law says she feels very safe and loved every time we visit. She now wishes she would have agreed to move sooner. The caregivers have been amazing, always kind and helpful. Her call button was not working this week. I walked out to ask the caregiver if the alarm went off. The maintenance man overheard me from the other room. He immediately got up and asked about it. He then replaced her batteries immediately. We have been more than pleased with the care that my mother and father-in-law have been receiving at Oakley Place.

Oakley Place has been my father's home for the past two years. We are treated like family and the care is great. Like any other facility sometimes it is short staffed, but whomever is on duty does his/her best to complete the job needed at any particular time. The ambiance is welcoming and the hallways are wide so it doesn't seem like an institution. I would recommend Oakley Place to family and friends.

My sister is a current resident. She has dementia and it is such a relief to know she is living in a facility that I trust to take care of her when I can not be there. She and her husband moved here from Michigan and had the very best of care for both of them until his passing with Parkinson disease. One of the nursing staff noticed he was not doing well and called his hospice team in so he could get the immediate help he needed. We spent several hours with him during his passing and all the staff were there to support the family and were quick to express sympathy for his loss and share some sweet stories about him. They were residents of another assisted living facility in Michigan and the treatment there was nothing like Oakley. I could never get a phone call answered or an email responded to, here I have 24 hour contact if it is needed. Very special people work there and work to make their residents feel at home. So glad I found Oakley for my family

I was pleased with my loved one's respite care there. As we transitioned from home care to a facility, they were a great stop gap in between. I was especially impressed when the staff recommend that my loved one might do better at a facility with a dedicated memory care unit. That showed a lot of integrity to value the residents' well being over money. Highly recommend.
