Truewood by Merrill, Pinole

The hills, the turkeys, it just has the perfect surroundings. The residents and staff are so nice and help you, and they give you verbal support. Management is doing a great job. I love the Truewood bus, and all the other amenities. Compared to other facilities, this is by far my favorite. The management team does a great job in being patient, courteous, and kind with everyone. I am a us air force veteran and I am happy to see other veterans here. I wasn’t eating before I came here, and now I am eating three great meals a day.

It’s fun, friendly, warm, and clean. This feels like home. It’s perfect for me. People are friendly. They love to play games and lots of them like to take care of people. There’s always new to learn everyday. I love the food, i’m impressed with that. I love that i can bring my dog here. I’ve been here for almost two years.

Hello people if you are looking for a place to put your loved one or for yourself do not look here… I was accosted in the parking lot by a man and a woman who tried to steal my jewelry and put their hands on me…This incident was taken to management to let them be aware of what’s going on 20 feet from their front door… They don’t care!! Their response was, we’re not responsible For the residents after they leave the building. However, they have benches outside the building for the residence to sit in and visit each other and get fresh air. Some residents on walkers walk their little dogs in the parking lot areas. How can they NOT have cameras? How can you NOT care about your residents? Who would want to be at a place or have your loved one here, where they don’t care about your safety and ignore incidents that happen on their grounds?? Again, They have no cameras outside or near the front door or in the parking lot nor or they concerned about predators looking for victims. I was traumatized! Be aware people.

I've been here for two years now. During my stay, I've observed the staff and the help how efficient they are, how helpful they are, and how well they serve the tenants. They not only perform one task, they perform multiple tasks. They're always helpful and energetic. I'd love to show my appreciation to the Truewood staff and administration to let them know that the persons they have working here, are 5-star employees. I'd like to thank every one of them for what they do and they way they do it. They deserve thanks and praise. Because of them, my stay here is wonderful.
