My sister and I moved my mother to The Watermark at Vistawilla from an independent living environment about a month ago. We have been impressed by the very friendly staff and my mom has enjoyed the food and amenities as well. My sister has eaten with my mom on several occasions and has also commented that the food is very good. We have been impressed with the servers who are always very friendly and smiling. On the occasion I had dinner with my mother, we noted how the servers interacted so kindly with us and the other residents. I believe this interaction to be of great value and critical for anyone but particularly for the elderly. We are grateful for their kind, friendly service. I have also had several interactions with the receptionists and med techs who are very helpful and quite pleasant. My most recent interaction was with Shanece, the memory care program director, who provided excellent friendly customer service in a prompt professional manner with great communication and follow up. Finally, the facility is very well appointed with a clean, comfortable, up to date decor. Kudos to The Watermark for creating a friendly culture that provides a warm caring environment for folks in need of assisted living!

I had a very unique situation where I live in Australia, and my father, who was needing an immediate placement in a facility, lived in Orlando. After speaking with over 50 facilities and most giving up on me because of our complicated situation, I had a very clear answer to where my father belonged. Suzette, the Sales Director was extremely patient with the complication of timezones, always had an answer to my concerns, and helped guide me through this difficult process. It was a miracle, and I'm extremely thankful for her and the team at The Watermark. The move-in process was so smooth, and everyone on the faculty knew my name and helped me out. My father is in memory care, and moved into a studio apartment. It was so spacious! His place easily fit a full-sized bed, big comfy chair, nightstand, dresser, and bookcase. All with floor room to easily walk through with a walker. I was impressed. I knew it was going to be a nice apartment, but not this nice. When my dad moved in, after eating lunch and returning to his apartment, he sat on his bed, looked at me with a huge smile, and said "I'm home :)" I haven't seen him this happy and stress-free in over a decade. I couldn't be more thankful for The Watermark, and everything they've done for us. I can finally breathe again, and know my dad is in great hands.

Stay away from Watermark. The Director of Nursing- Sachene called and canceled my doctor's appointments without my knowledge. SHanEcE REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY MEDICATION WHEN I LEFT THE ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY. I stayed for almost a year and one half. The HR director screamed at me for asking one of the associates for help to retierve my prescriptions from the drug store. I did not know protocol, and I had attended a doctor's appointment on my own, and I was approached by the HR Dept and screamed at because I asked for help to retierve my prescription. Also, have your family watch your doctor appts because the Director of Nursing - Shanence called and canceled several of my doctors appointments without my knowledge or my permission. My doctors were alarmed by this behavior and contacted me. This assisted living is unprofessional. Stay away. Far Away. Additionally, the Director of Nursing refused to give me my medications when I left Watermark at Vista - Scary! Medication I had paid for was denied to me when i left the scary house. Months of Oxy - for pain. Months and months of medicine i had paid for. Why? They belonged to me and not Waterman? What do they do with these drugs that were mine?. Why was HR and Shanece yelling at me at the top of their lungs in the Lobby of Waterman as I insisted on taking my drugs with me that I paid for during my year and one half stay at Watermark. I thought drugs I paid for were mine according to the law. Other residents witnessed this cruel and unnecessary behavior toward me and later approached me bc they were upset for me as they watched in despair watching me leave the property trying to go home without my medicine 💊. What was the HR director going to do with my medication? How many others went through this previously without any intervention? Is this a safe environment for your family member? Are these employees still working at Waterman? I am telling the truth. Fire the HR Director and Director of Nursing. Shanece is still employed at Watermark. These women threatened me and I shook standing alone trying to get my medicine. My driver was hired by my son to take me home and he stood in shock as he watched the circus unfold. I am home walking and caring for myself. I stayed at Watermark for close to a year and one half not knowing my hip was totally detached from my hip. Make sure your primary care doctor who sees you at Watermark knows what she is doing. Missing a detached hip diagnosis is horrific. The pain was unbearable and she took my pain pills away from me without doing any x-rays and the pain was unbearable 💔 😢. Nobody at any assisted living care should live over a year without knowning their patient has a detached hip. Besides, the pain my surgeon had to attach other pieces of bone and cartilage to repair my leg so I could walk again. Two other surgeons told me they would not be able to save my leg. Fortunately, i found an Orthopedic surgeon in Orlando. The place is a mess. I probably can't say the woman's name but make sure you seek your own primary care doctor for your loved ones, and don't accept abusivers as your advocates. There is a great assisted living a half mile down the street. They are wonderful. I attended their facility for PT.

We had a family member reside at Watermark at Tuskawilla for over 3 years. This AL community works diligently to engage the residents in a wide variety of activities and events. When we retired and moved out of town, she was very disappointed because she had become so content and happy with her Watermark residence and family.
