The Waterford at Colby

I can't stress enough how pleased we are with the positive progress mom has made since moving into the Waterford at Colby. She has dementia and is 90% blind and was living at home with my dad until he passed. Although he cared for her to the best of his ability, they spent the majority of the day in their recliners watching TV. She had a hard time even walking to the bathroom. Now she exercises daily, goes on outings, does projects, eats healthy meals and the change in her is very noticable. She has a glow back that she had lost. The staff always make sure she has accommodations to help her with her blindness, allowing her to participate in everything along with the other residents. Because she doesn't see well, had just lost her husband of nearly 71 years and had to move from her home, all while grieving, we were extremely concerned and protective of her. I can truthfully say the staff has gone above and beyond making her feel welcomed, including her in everything and giving her excellent care. Our minds and hearts rest easily now, knowing she is happy and feels at home there now. Thank you!

Was a beautiful day to enjoy during visit with our son. Very impressed with staff and facilities.

Was a great place in the beginning for my grandfather's life. Then it all went downhill. Staff was not very helpful. When my grandpa would push his "help button" it would take staff 15 minutes to arrive! Not ideal when someone needed help right away. Unfortunately, my grandpa passed and we never got any sympathy from the staff what so ever! Nothing! Just a horrible experience with his passing and his placement at the time. I do not recommend this place to anyone who needs assistance because you just won't get it 😕

My mom is getting excellent care here. There are many opportunities for activities also. The staff and residents are so kind and caring. I am grateful that Mom has this place to be at and the family does not have to be concerned or worried about her
