We recently moved my grandmother to Mariner’s Point from out of state to be closer to family in Connecticut. We visited many Assisted Living facilities and this was by far the nicest. We worried that relocating her would be a difficult transition for her and us, it was not. We were able to see what apartments were available and select the one we thought she would like best. The process was seamless, she was very welcomed by the staff when she arrived. They took the time to introduce her to her new neighbors and help her develop a whole new group of friends. As we were setting up her new apartment, so many staff members came by to introduce themselves, explain their rolls there which was so touching to see. She is busy and very happy with all of the activities with her new group of friends. The building is overlooking the water, it is such a peaceful setting. We have such peace of mind know she is happy and well cared for.

Recently visited my aunt who moved to Mariners Point a few months ago. I live out of state, so it was my first visit. I was pleasantly surprised how nice the facility is. They were in the middle of a renovation when she moved in. I was expecting a more hospital like environment. The building is very large, yet still has a warm feeling. The view of the water is lovely, especially from the restaurant. The staff all seem very friendly, when I got lost a staff member walked me to her room. Most importantly my aunt is happy and safe.

The Village at Mariner’s Point is heads above any community of its kind. Over the course of a year, my husband and I investigated over two dozen such places to find a home for Mom. We found the perfect spot overlooking the beautiful waters of Long Island Sound, with residents’ rooms that are spacious, up to date, and grounds that are well kept and inviting. But most importantly, Mariner’s has become a home for Mom. We cannot say enough about the staff and the care they provide. Whether it's housekeeping, personal aides, nursing, food services and others, all have a caring smile and treat mom as if she were family. Mom looks forward to mealtime each day and enjoys choosing her meals from the healthy and varied menu. She tells us it’s like eating out everyday. Kim Kelly-Rubin the Director of Mariner’s continues to be a sheer joy to work with. From our first interview to date all our questions, concerns, and needs for Mom have been answered and addressed with a true concern for what’s best for Mom. She makes the place tick and is always available to guide us through the sometimes confusing and complicated world of assisted living facilities. The Pandemic’s special challenges for all of us and for Mariner’s were met head on. They put special protocols in place and have updated operational changes as the virus’s severity changed. We sleep at night knowing Mom is in the best of hands. Most importantly Mariner’s and the entire staff make Mom feel like she’s home. Diane and George

Mariner's Point is a wonderful place for my mother. The nursing care and other assistance that she gets from the friendly staff combined with the social interaction with her peers makes her happy, and puts her family's mind at ease.
