The Terraces at Via Verde

This place has been a godsend!! From the very beginning they have gone above and beyond for my mom. Oscar is amazing! From our first phone call to move in day he has made us feel so welcome. He made himself available daily for all my questions and was there for me during one of life’s hardest transitions. He took so much of the stress away by taking the reins and walking me through everything with grace and kindness. Then I got to meet Nicole! She came in with so much reassurance and such an upbeat positive attitude. She took away all my worries about my mom being resistant to care. Her confidence that they could help my mom brought me so much peace. They both have made, what is a very sad decision, beautiful, easy, and calm. My mom went from being completely shut down, not speaking, bathing, changing clothes, or eating, to doing all of those daily AND doing activities!!! The med techs and staff are all wonderful and so so helpful with any questions we have. I can’t say enough nice things about this place. Finding The Terraces at Via Verde truly was gift from god.

Zero stars My mother, who has dementia, lived here from January 2024 until September 2026. My father, who did not have dementia, lived with my mother in the same room, until he died in August 2024. Robert Jankini was the supervisor at the time and was a wonderful caring person. He was replaced by Subashsani Kumar. After this the place went downhill. Do not send your loved one to Terraces! Director Subashsani acts likes she cares about the residents but she does NOT! She blames all problematic issues on the owners, Agemark, and does nothing to support residents. The previous director, Robert, was a constant visible presence around the residents but Subi shows up for photo ops and robs you blind while blaming all the nickel and “dime-ing”on the Agemark corporation. My sister and I found a board and care nearby in Chino that was $2000 per month cheaper and takes excellent care of my mother. We moved my mom on September 26th and Subi forced us to pay for 11 days more rent after my mom moved out, when my mom was no longer a resident, since we gave 30 days notice on September 9th, they felt it necessary to charge us for days my mother no longer lived there. A few weeks before my mom was moved, I was attacked by a resident trying to escape down the elevator. She grabbed my arm, threw me against the wall and tried to punch me! She was angered by me not letting her get on the elevator! There is not enough staff to monitor residents! This attacker was eventually moved to the first floor but when the attack was reported, the staff member in the common room was scrolling on their phone. I beg you to not let your loved one be demoralized by this place 😢

I visit many senior communities and if you are anywhere near the San Dimas area, The Terraces at Via Verde is one of the best places to take your loved one if they are faced with memory impairment in any way. You can trust that your loved one will be treated with care as they live in their new home. I work for a medical group where my clinical staff comes in and gives extra clinical support partnering with their clinical staff there at the community. The amount of wellness and enrichment programs they have show how much they truly care for each and every resident. Special thanks to those we work very close with, Oscar, Suby, Nicole and their entire team for all that you do. The team there works on a string to make sure every level of care is completed. And I can't finish a review for them without a special shot out to the culinary team. Residents are given healthy and favorable dining. Simply put, the food is amazing! The Terraces has exceeded my expectations in every respect. The level of care provided is exceptional, and every employee I have encountered has been consistently professional, attentive, and genuinely compassionate. It is clear that the staff takes great pride in their work and truly cares about the well-being, comfort, and dignity of the residents. As I do not live nearby, I am unable to visit my sister as often as I would like. Whenever I call, the staff takes the time to listen, answer my questions thoroughly, and provide meaningful updates regarding my sister’s care. Their openness, patience, and commitment to communication offer me tremendous reassurance. Knowing that my sister is receiving such attentive and compassionate care brings me great comfort and peace of mind.
